San Diego Chargers head coach Norv Turner said RB Ryan Mathews (ankle) could see an increase in his workload in Week 6 against the St. Louis Rams, according to The San Diego Union-Tribune's Kevin Acee. "We want to push it and get him as many carries as we can. He worked last Thursday and obviously was real sore on Friday and wasn't able to do as much as we would like. I think from watching him today, and hopefully everything goes smooth tonight and he feels good in the morning, that we will be able to up his load a little bit (Sunday at St. Louis)."

He's definitely earned it. Time to unleash rhynomite! or as the team calls him, "Bam Bam"

Is he supposed to put him on the field right now?

I don't think that would help much.

Well, he would have had more last week, but he had a setback on Friday with soreness in his ankle from the injury. If he responds better this week, he'll get more PT.

Apparently you do since you're telling him to shut up and give him more play time.

What's he supposed to do on a Thursday?

Well, Acee's reporting that Mathews was able to participate fully in practice on Friday. That's not something he was able to do last week. So he should see more playing time.

I'm not playing this game with you.

It was meant as a joke, deal with it.

Was just saying on the latest injury thread that I would like to see RM get over 15 carries. Kinda hopin to see the arm brace again hasnt been a detrement to RM yet. Could actualy be posed as a arm brace and is purely designed to hold onto a football better. Kinda how HUGE club heads make a average golfer feel like they hit better or even close to semi pro.

Pfft...I heard this before Arizona and Oakland. Both games he was #2 on the depth chart. Put him away for the season he won't be the #1 back this season. Sad thing really seeing how his 1st round pick and all. Give Tolbert the start the rams aren't physical he should destroy them.

Didn't we say the same thing last week against the Raiders and their dogs**t run defense?
