Well that's why we picked him. he did very well at his pro day and combine catching all sorts of hard to catch awkward passes. If he didn't the chargers likely would not have traded for him.

Combine  I mean in a game. I was just wondering how well he can catch out of the backfield. I hope we will see. We need to have that option.

If I recall correctly, there were some questions about LT's receiving abilities too, right?

I've always heard he can catch, he just wasn't asked to do it that much in FSU's offense. 1 good week with Charlie Joiner and the kid will be making circus catches.

I think this is an overrated discussion. A running back should be able to run the ball! If a guy cant catch a ball that's lobbed to him or "dumped" to him in the backfield then he probably doesn't have very good "ball" skills in the first place. 9 times out of 10 it's an option or improvised play when this happens so that IMO is just football ability. He's on offense. :icon_shrug:

It is not just catching a ball. It is his ability to act as a receiver.
