    ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting San Diego has shown interest in cornerback Nathan Vasher. He was recently cut by Chicago. He played for San Diego defensive coordinator Ron Rivera with the Bears. Vasher would give San Diego decent depth.

    It would nice to get another stud Texas Cornerback. We already have one in Jammer. Vasher is a vet too. Sign him up AJ! :tup:

    Vasher is far from "stud" CB anymore...but he's good depth at least....and he's a vet who knows where he is supposed to be on the field in Rivera's system..something we need more of.

    If he has anything left, he is ideal because he knows Rivera's system. Cro never liked how much zone we played...my understanding is you don't need elite physical skills to be a good zone coverage corner.

    If we don't pull the trigger on Vasher, I hope we take the kid from the small school with the funny name, he has elite size and speed, but he played for a small school, I don't think he will be available at #89 or 92 when we pick at the end of the third.

    Akwasi Owusu-Ansah is a name to watch for us at #40 or #89 or 92 if we don't get Vasher.

    I agree Vasher has become a bigger name than a player, I'd rather have a rookie like Ansah that we can develop.
