I agree. Scifres is a machine! Our promising punter was put on IR during preseason(Sepulveda) and we have been stuck with a high school level equivalent. If it wasn't for our defense we would be nowhere close to where we are today with the field position we give up in the punting game. Our kicker, while being a great field goal artist, leaves a lot to be desired on kickoffs too.

And didn't the Steelers just get a new long snapper for punts and field goals a couple weeks ago?

Something as little as that can make a big difference..
I have a strange feeling he's going to launch one over the head of the Steelers punter or screw up somehow.

    Go Chargers...

Yeah our long snapper was put on IR...James Harrison filled in for him and did exactly that, over the head lol. It basically cost us the game against the Giants. It gave them a safety and set them up in good position for their winning drive. We have a guy we cut in training camp last year now, been there a couple months and doing pretty good.

Ah yes..I remember that game now.
Your long snapper was trying to walk off the field and his knee buckled like a chicken bone.
Gave me chills when I saw that.

    Haha!

Back to the subject at hand, his stats were incredible. All six of his punts were inside the 20.
