He made alot of money though possibly faking those injurys so he could keep getting paid.. Gotta give the guy credit. He's smart. He got paid alot while not playing that much after getting that huge new contract.

Wow, they gave him that big contract and he was never heard from again. Just goes to show that anything can happen to these guys, and we should enjoy these players while they're still around.

He'll be a Raider before the end of the week.

It'll be a nice, slow death to end his career. :bolt:

Man, that's what I'm saying. LT and SA in the same backfield? I know, I know, just dreaming. He was one of the best RB's not too long ago. Man, you're a star one year, a dud the next. Injuries really "hurt" this guy esp. after his MVP season. NFL = Not For Long.....

He wants to be a starter, so I don't think he'd take "backup" money to be in SD. The Ravens gave up on Lewis after '06, and he had a pretty good year for Cleveland in '07, so I think someone will take a chance on Alexander, but it will be his LAST shot.

But I wouldn't mind it if he wanted to backup LT.

I really don't care to have his primadonna attitude in our locker room. Let him go to AZ, where old footballers go to die.

LT and SA certainly sounds great.
Though if he's healthy, he'll still have to take a major pay cut.
Would he be willing to do a Dion Sanders (94' 49ers) type of contract?

He won't have the leverage to take anything but back up money, with incentives provided he pans out. The physical would be crucial and I wouldn't touch him unless he was in really good condition already. Given that, we could probably try him out as a back up without much risk. He might jump at the chance to be on a contender with a chance for a ring and he might actually make it through a season if he wasn't a primary back. One year contract with an option for a second.

Don't disagree with what you say here, RC. I've just never been that impressed with Alexander & don't feel that he would warrant a roster spot on this team. We'll find a gem in the draft - I trust in the AJ/Nix magic.
