Marshawn Lynch is the biggest piece of crap EVER.
Seacock fans should be embarrassed with his stupid act.., he's not funny at all....he just shows his immaturity and selfishness., he's an embarrassment to the team and the league..(like they need anymore)., and he shouldn't even be in the league if he can't abide by the normal protocol that everyone else has and does.., and it makes me wanna puke when ESPN and NFL Network stroke his c*ck and laugh right along with him think'n that this kind of garbage is acceptable., WTF??? He may be good, but he's not THAT good.
Never knew LT to be a bitch like that.., and no, I'm not gonna chock up the "pouting with the helmet on the sidelines" to this stupid constant crap BS......not even close bud.
Hell., I dunno.., he may be just as stupid like the way his player photo makes him look like all the time.., and what's up with that anyway..., look'n all cross-eyed and sh*t.

Uh anyway., that kinda crap just burns my a**....EVERYBODY is replaceable in that line of work., I don't care who you are., you're not too good at or for anything to receive special treatment.
    Fade away Lynch., you suck.

I think he shouldn't have to talk, it is more annoying watching reporters trying to get him to answer questions, than his act.

I don't really care what Lynch has to say. Given the two teams playing, I'd rather hear what Brady, Gronk, Wilson or Sherman have to say.

Yeah I just don't care at all. Nobody is going to say anything interesting or insightful anyway. I've been ignoring pretty much everything non offseason related since we were eliminated by a backup QB in our own house.

Disclaimer: As a Cal Golden Bear, I'm totally in the bag for Marshawn (even if I think he's a bit nuts).

But it isn't just Seahawks fans: on PFT any "ML is Not Talking" story runs ~75% pro-Marshawn.

I think there's some myopic 7th grade "Stickin' it to the man!" psychology there...

but I can't get over the fact that Pro Football Talk--a site born and entirely dependent on the idea that
NFL fans need talk about their team the other 349.25 days of the year that their team isn't playing...
usually fed by player interviews plus lesser pointless pundit speculation...
these fans who are constantly on ...are trying to make a hero of a guy who is mocking the "talk" side
of the sport...that they come to Pro Football Talk for.

There's a reason that NFL contracts explain that talking to the press
(which is how fans hear their team's players) is part of what your million$ are for.
Marshawn isn't stickin' it to the press...he's sticking' it to us fans who want to know what
it was like to make one of this epic runs...

I'm sure there's a tiny minority of fans out there that only watch the games, and don't care about the "talk"
side of the sport...but if you're on Bolt Talk or Pro Football Talk...
uh, no...going to such sites proves that--like the games--the talk matters...

You could say that, but I view it as a forum for people with similar interests (in this case, the Chargers)

Also, I don't need a quote from Marshawn Lynch to talk about what he did in the last game.

    No one does.
That's why sports shows never interview athletes.
    Fans don't really care. ;)

I don't think a guy should be forced to talk. I'd rather he do it on his own and at least have something that matters to say.

I didn't say nobody needs it or cares for it, I said I don't need it and my presence on this board isn't the proof in itself that I do as you claimed.

Marshawn Lynch is just employing the old Clint Eastwood (Dirty Harry) rule, "Mans got to know his limitations". A player is paid to play period.

So, if you were my employer, and I refused to perform the duties that were
very specifically detailed in the work contract
    that we both signed...
and you kept your end of the deal by paying me millions of dollars,
and I said "Fvck Gonzorb and his side of the contract!!"
you'd respect me for not honoring our deal, and tell people how awesome I was?

    Hmmm...why don't I believe that...?

Actually, Sherman makes a good point.... how come the commissioner can duck the press (like when a scandal is brewing over his handling of an issue), but a player (who doesn't have anything frankly important to tell the media) is forced to go up in front of the press?

The person who should be most accountable to the public is the NFL commissioner. When the Ray Rice scandal was heating up, Goodell even ditched an appearance at the opening of the new 49ers stadium..... the kind of event the commissioner always shows up for. Goodall is a coward, but Lynch has to be forced to do something on a weekly basis that he's clearly not comfortable doing. As usual, the NFL's priorities are completely screwed up.

Now, instead of transparently pretending that I'm having some fake, stressed reaction,
(seriously, would anyone fall for this?)
you could simply admit that you were totally in error, factually, and move on.
Without trying to hide it by making up stuff about me.
That would be the grown up thing to do. :) Cheers!

How exactly does having 14,000+ posts here prove that I care about player interviews?

I think very few interviews with players, especially major media event interviews, contain anything of value unless you can really parse out the few key bits. 90% of them are garbage though. Lynch is the only one to show just how little value these interviews are and frankly how asinine the NFL is in how they fine him for everything.

And for all the disgrace talk about him, anyone here would've preferred Lynch over Mathews this year? and last year? and the year before?

I guess I'm not too surprised about this thread, though. This is the same fanbase that shat all over a legend of its own team just because he had the audacity to say he's humble in an interview.

While players may be required to be available to the media they aren't required to say anything of substance. They just have to show up.

I think it's silly that a player be forced to speak to the media when it makes them so uncomfortable - there are PLENTY of play-makers available on both teams who are more than willing to speak. It's not like he shuns all media - he does plenty of one-on-one interviews. He wasn't always like this either, it seems pretty clear to me something happened with the media to change his willingness to participate. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt over media vultures and the NFL any day.

I just can't bring myself to care... I just want this stupid Super Bowl to be over because it means that next week The Walking Dead is back on and TV prices go down.
