    from the seahawkshuddle message board...

Whatever's wrong with the offensive, it needs to be fixed by December 24th. This isn't an impossible task. Sims will fill in for Womack and Sims needs to toll the line. He needs to step up and do his job. Holmgren says Sims is "the future"..well, the future is right now. He's on the team, he plays now, he does his job NOW. I remember a couple of years ago when the Patriots had a slew of injuries and Belichek kept putting in no names and New England kept winning... All the way to the Superbowl. If they can do it, we can do it too. We certainly have the talent. Just need the attitude.

The game with San Diego is the biggest game of the season. We might be playing the best team in the NFL in the Chargers. If we beat the Chargers by more then 3 points (our home field advantage) then we can beat any team in the NFL period. Make not mistake about it, this is a 'statement' football game. A win could change the attitude of the whole team to 'invincible'. The only catch is, the Seahawks need to bring this 'invincible' attitude to the field when they meet the Chargers. This team has 8 days to get their heads out their asses and start believing in themselves..each and every one of them needs a real gut check. Coaching staff included. Time to hunker down and play as a team..time to stay focused and not make any damn mistakes. Time to play some precision football and not let their opponents get into their heads. Time to play for something like pride for the uniform.

If we have homefield locked up, they may beat our second stringers....

Seattle's a very good team and tough to beat at home. They are going to be coming off a long week with plenty of time to rest, and they will be pizzed about blowing a game to the Niners that they dominated.

Going to Seattle and winning will not be a cakewalk. If I was a Seachickens fan, I would feel like my team could win this game. Of course, as a Bolts fan, I don't think they stand a chance. :icon_rofl:

Like LoNeal says, Qwest field will be so quiet that you'll hear a mouse pissing on a sponge.

even if the ravens loose we won't have homefield wraped up by game time, after the game and a win we will, but not before

Its all about going into Qwest and dominating this team. Full on Defense and a High Powered Offense...Im talking about 21 points in the first quarter and then another 14 in the second. Of course holding on to the lead in the second half also...

We need to shut down Branch and shut down Alexander. Make Matty work for every inch.

I think QJ should be a good match-up for Branch....what do you guys think??

Never underestimate the reprocussions of playing a team dealing with the "We just got our asses handed to us by a ****** team" factor.

We "should" win simply because we're better than them, but that's a rough gig to play those guys in their house, they have a great home record at that new funky looking stadium of theirs.

Time to bring some more PAIN to the Seachickens.

They'll have to deal with our first string (at least it looks that way) cause Indy is headed for a win.... barring something very unusual happening in the MNF game.

I know this is going to be a tough game....but after we win, we will be rewarded with home field advantage. The hawks are fighting to win the NFC West, so no let down there. But its been proven if we put pressure on Hasselneck, he will make alot of mistakes. Keep the pressure up and we will come through again. This is the golden season and the charger players know it. They will not look past this game. Regardless, Ive seen the stat on teams winning HFA in the playoffs and they are not good. I just want a first round bye to rest our starters for a bit.

Of course they can win... They didn't exactly back into the Superbowl last season. They are getting healthy and are very dangerous on both sides of the ball. Honestly, I see this as one of the toughest games of our season. We are fighting for HFA and they are fighting for the NFC West. Despite a couple of clunkers at home this season, Seattle is historically a very tough place to play, and I fully expect them to come out with renewed vigour on Sunday.

I do think the Chargers can and will win the game, but it will be a hard-fought battle.

If we play the way we are capable, the Seahawks do not have much of a chance. They are not the same team they were last season, and even if they were, we would be favored.

Many 'Hawks fans feel some of their players have kind of given up trying hard during games, especially Alexander.

In the 49ers game, he often fell down after rushing a little to avoid direct contact, and did a primadonna routine of lying on the ground after the play, extending his hands, asking for people to help him up.

The Hawks can win this game. Both our losses were on last second FG's on the road. And Josh Brown is the king of gamewinning kicks.

What do you think ? Will Rivers have this idea that he needs to redeem himself after last Sunday ? I sure do ; Besides, the Chargers are just plain superior. Watch the Bolts stuff it too them.. on their turf.

If the Colts and the Ravens lose, we'll have home field locked up before we ever start the game with the Seachickens. But the Colts play the Texans, so don't hold your breath.
