...It couldn't have happened to a nicer thug. If he doesn't show up at "Camp Turd", he forfeits his salary and won't become free agent after this season.

    Hmmmm :icon_rofl::icon_rofl::icon_rofl:

Maybe he'll pull a Jake Plummer and retire. Doubtful but it'd be hilarious.

Can you blame Seymour for not showng up?

Being traded to the Raiders is like being demoted to the job of cleaning public toilets... without a brush!

    Seymour hasn’t reported

‘Issues’ with his ex-team are cited

By Mike Reiss and Christopher L. Gasper

    http://www.boston.com/sports/footba...ported_to_raiders_issues_with_patriots_cited/

Defensive lineman Richard Seymour has yet to report to the Raiders, with Oakland coach Tom Cable saying yesterday that Seymour has “issues’’ to resolve with the Patriots before his arrival.

The Patriots traded Seymour to the Raiders Sunday for a 2011 first-round draft choice. Because the trade is presumably contingent on Seymour passing a physical, it would not yet be finalized despite being turned into the league by both teams Sunday.

“We have attempted to make a deal,’’ Cable told Bay Area reporters yesterday. “There are some issues still between him and the Patriots that are being worked out [and we’re] hoping that will be resolved as quickly as possible.’’

Patriots vice president of media relations Stacey James said last night he was unaware of any issues relating to the trade.
Cable relayed that he has spoken to Seymour and that Seymour told him he wants to play for the Raiders.

“We know that the player wants to be here, but we have no control really over those issues,’’ he said.

As of early last night, Seymour had not left Massachusetts, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Speculation has swirled that Seymour might not report to the Raiders because of unhappiness about the trade. By not showing up, the theory is that he potentially could stop the deal from being finalized.

Players who take such action run the risk of receiving a “five-day’’ letter notifying them they could be placed on the reserve/left squad list. Players who are placed on that list can’t play again this season and would lose a credited year toward free agency.

Seymour is in the final year of his contract and would be in line to become an unrestricted free agent after the season, unless the franchise tag was used on him.

Number 93 is screwed if he doesn't show up.

He's holding out to see if they'll agree not to place the Franchise tag on him.

He has no leverage, he never saw this coming, he doesn't have a rainy day fund that could carry him for the rest of his life. He needs the money, he needs to play well this year and he really needs to cash in with a big free agent deal.

we may be the weakest division right now, but we have the most drama!

I find the contradictory statements confusing. I can't imagine either the raiders or the patriots lieing.

I hate Seymore and every Patriot or ex-Patriot for that matter. That being said, I don't blame him because I hate the Raiders too. So come to think of it, this is pretty funny.

Even if he reported today, I doubt he will see action on Monday.

    Getting entertaining.

Rodney Harrison was on Dan Patrick show today.

Didn't sound like Seymour would be showing up any time soon.

Click on hour 2 of Thursday's (today) show:

His Leaf comments are great too. Plus, he likes Rivers for MVP this year. Sounds like he would love to have him as a teammate.

    Rodney is awesome.
