I'm very surprised - the Hawks are in prime position to add someone like a Stewart or even a Mendenhall through the draft and yet for some reason they grab two reclamation projects in Duckett and Jones. Why I don't know.

As far as Shaun goes, he's an OK back that was great behind a great left side of a line and now that its gone he sucks. No thanks

Surely you know that AJ isnt going to bring in anybody that would cost a lot of money. And who said anything about us getting Jordon?

I sure dont want the guy.

Why? So they can stand on the sideline for the majority of 4 years and be a FA soon afterwards?

There are others that would be good backups that would be much cheaper and in the next 4 years, there wil be other RB's in the draft that will be good.

There's no rush on Alexander-if someone gets eager and grabs him, it doesn't mean much to us, but if he twists in the wind for a while, then the price to bring him in will go down. Fill the contract with make provisions and some reasonable incentives. A lot would depend on the physical and the shape he's in. Wouldn't bring him in anytime soon for more money than he's worth. He is an interesting option once the minicamps open up and he can be brought in for a look see.

What some have mentioned. And it kind of does make some sense. Use the 27th pick to trade down to the middle of the 2nd round or better. And hopefully either get a 1st for next year or a 3rd for this year along with the 2nd rounder with the trading down. There is one good d-tackle that should be available in the 2nd round. Law from notre dame.

I kind of agree. Being able to find jamalls replacement and good backup is probably the most important thing they can improve. And a backup running back and o-tackle are in there as well.

Alot will depend on just who is there when we pick at 27. IF cro-2 is sitting there or branden albert is sitting there when we pick you probably should go for a very good player rather than just filling a position. And we could use a very good a cb or o-tackle/guard.

Id love to get Tashard Choice in he were there in the 5th. He had the 2nd fastest 10 yard time at the combine (better than McFadden) even if he didnt have the best 40 but the burst is there and he has good size.

These are the types im talking about since we still have LT. The Giants sure had a lot of good backups and it worked wonders for them and they were cheap. I wouldnt mind signing Derrick Ward in fact but doubt we sign any FA's.

Jesus Christ, some of you guys want every washed up player released by some other team. We are past that point in our evolution, no longer digging through the trsh to try to find something we can possibly use.

Fuk Shaun Alexander. He's done. Get a new rb in the draft to replace MT.

...I agree with trading down. Hell, picking 27th is almost a second rounder anyway. It really does depend a lot on how the draft unfolds but there should be quality RBs available throughout the first few rounds. If Norv is trying to install more of a spread offense with more emphasis on the pass, he may not really want a power runner as much as a versatile back.
