I was never one of them. Phillips has always been a playmaker. But today was just nuts. He was everywhere. Defensive player of the week for sure.

Hank Bauer had a great comment

This is the time that "the Other guy" becomes "the guy" and the previous guy becomes "that other guy"

I think the torch might very well have been passed

Youll have to admit he's done this alot better this year then before, he's consistently effective at rushing the passer

He played great yesterday, no doubt. I put the crow in the microwave to warm it up in case I need to eat it later this year. I want to see him stay in BEAST MODE the rest of the season tho before I'm digging in.

He wouldn't be known as "the other Shawne" if he wasn't making his presence felt since before Shawne sucked.

And avoid ill-timed outbursts resulting in 15-yard personal fouls...

    And there it is.

The play that made everyone on this forum want to lynch him out of town because the one play is more important than his entire body of work.

It was one of the most important plays of his career in the biggest game of the season.

Now wait just a minute -- I made absolutely no mention of the fact it was a playoff game...at home...on a key drive...late in the game :D

I'm not denying that it was a dumshit play with horrible timing, no less, but it was still one play.

Rivers also threw a costly INT in the playoff game but nobody wanted to run him out of town.

Phillips led the league in forced fumbles last year. He's been pretty consistent.
