Wasn't it just like two weeks ago that Plaxico said he'd "seen the light" and he was going to be working with the team all offseason? What a loser.

Can you really blame Shockey or Burress? I mean, it really sucks working with a person who doesn't have a personality.

Although I enjoy bashing ShEli as much as the next guy this instance isn't really about him. It's about the selfish "me first" players on his team.

If these guys win more than half their games I'll be mighty surprised.

    Exactly.

Just watch, Shockey and Burress will be the first ones to throw up their hands if signals get crossed with the QB during a game. Bunch of BS if you aren't willing to put the offseason work in.

Actually, it is about Eli. Why?

He didn't want to come here because of how piss-poor our franchise was. Ergo, he went to a "better" franchise, yet somehow that superior franchise is filled with me-first types who won't lift a finger to make Manning a better QB.

    Like I said; karma.

The hilarious thing is that Eli might actually be a good QB if he was a Charger. Better weapons, better coaches, and players around him who aren't prima donnas. But we'll never know, will we?

The words of a beaten man.

That's why he'll never be the kind of leader his brother is, he's too laid back and he has no balls. If I were in his position and my top 2 recieving threats were dissing me I'd frickin' call them out in the NY media and get their asses crucified.

Yeah, fk that laid back approach, especially from your quarterback. THANK GOD we have Philip.

I see the same "blank stare" from Jay Cutler. That's why I'm not sold on him.

We are so lucky with the way things worked out. I swear Philip would play linebacker if asked and paste somebody.

    FU Eli.

When you're the team's starting QB you need to be able to command respect. You don't need to call out guys but if the other guys don't respect you you'll never be great.

You don't need to be like Rivers, Brees has a more laid back approach but he's still able to command respect, why? Because he's a leader, Eli isn't and the guys around him know it.

Until Eli proves that he is capable of becoming a leader he won't get that respect. Respect is earned not given. If Eli thinks the other players will respect him solely because he's the starter than he's sorely mistaken.

And you can say well yea he's surrounded by me-first players, well yea that's a part of it but I doubt you'd see the same thing if Brady, or his brother Peyton was the QB.
