I was thinking the same thing, and yes I would bring him in if the price is right. But we all know that AJ won't even consider it.

Would he accept a one year contract (ei: Dion Sanders 94'?)

This would be an opportunity to redeem himself. I don't think anybody is willing to give him the kind of contract he wants (especially since he wants to start.)

I think that he would be a horrible back up. He doesn't run hard, and his style isn't built for coming in and pounding into the line for 1,2, or 3 yard gains. He flutters around in the backfield alot, and I don't really think that that would bode well for this team. LT always gets the VERY large majority of the carries anyways, even when Turner was here. I think it would be a mistake going out an getting this guy who might get four or five carries a game, especially when he isn't much of a pounder at this point in his career.

Vets always get re-energized when playing for a new team. Especially one that is a contender. LT and the the other players work ethic will rub off on him.

    Shaun Alexander is a *****. Candy ***.

He's also got $25 million reasons why he won't play on the cheap for any team.

Shane Olivea disease ..... Cashed in and checked out ..........

Screw Alexander. He's a pansy-assed primadonna. Never liked him, never will. Send him out to AZ to finish his so-called career.

Alexander was a great running back... don't know what type of physical condition he is in now.

But he is type of player who will not ride the bench and if he does, he will purposely play like crap because he is unhappy not being #1. If he goes somewhere it is to be the #1 back.

Nah, Shaun is damaged goods. I'd rather go after a Turner type young stud in the draft like a Jonathan Stewart. Who might be there at 27 since he's got a toe injury. Cherilus will be long gone. Stewart might be gone to Seattle who picks earlier since they dumped Shaun. Not sure what plan B is for A.J. Trade out?

i mentioned this on the podcast, the rumor out of the raiders is that if the raiders select mcfadden then someone in that raider backfield gets chopped; lamont jordan would be the likely person to go. i'd love to get hmi

He has no leverage. Any contract can be written to eliminate risk.

Jordan would be a good change of pace from LT, sort of a juiced up Byner/Mack backfield. but I really don't think AJ is into the old vets. Look for some late round "who the heck?" pick...

I don't even think that's the case now, I think the Chargers are going to wait til June when the Raiders release Jordan/Rhodes or both perhaps and grab one of them that won't affect their compensation picks next year
