Dobbins would be a perfect fit to return and play with Spikes and the rookies. Should come for cheap and provide another hard hitting run stopping ILB to go with the younger and more athletic Mouton and Butler.

Could definitely get that guy on the cheap. I would throw him a year contract.

I'm good with Kirk Morrison, but he may be a little more money then Dobbins. Both Morrison and Dobbins are thumpers, I think Mouton and Butler may swap in on passing downs.

For how cheap he is, you could bring him for specific situations and just crush the line of scrimmage.

Wasn't Dobbins a stand out on 'We-fense' also? Or is memory fading...

Yes, Dobbins used to wreck house on special teams. Also, he bought me and my wife drinks and played bingo with us on the Chargers Fan Cruise a few years ago and I have a picture with me and him as he ran around the captains dining hall in a Lucha Libre mask.

So who exactly are the Chargers actually targeting anyway? They're not targeting Tatupu or Dobbins or any other ILB I've heard. Is it Morrison? Or is it the chargers actually will let Mouton start (god help us)

Dobbins sucks. The LB corps is fine with takeo, butler, mouton and whoever else. Mouton is a dark skinned assassin. You're all just sentimental because dobbins picked up 15 garbage donnie-edwards tackles in meaningless games.

Word was the Chargers were trying to get the Bucs Adam Hayward, but Tampa out bid them.

I seem to remember that when we drafted Mouton in the 2nd round, the whole world thought we had reached for
a player that we could have picked up in the 6th or 7th. Now, all I hear in camp so far is how Mouton is laying people
out and staring people down, and basically crushing the offensive line and anyone with the ball.
It sounds like he's a badass to me so far. Good enough to start? Not my decision, but he seems to be holding his own,
unless the reports from camp are Mouton-biased.

If you're implying he wasn't a Pro Bowler, then you're correct.

Telling you guys straight, I've been at 2 practices so far and going again tomorrow night, and so far from what I've seen Mouton is solid. He has been in the right hole and hitting hard. That being said, I would much rather give Mouton and Butler a year to learn and platoon them with Spikes and another veteran this year.

Thought I read somewhere that the Bolts are not one bit interested in bringing Dobbins back.

How is it the Stillers can fart and out comes some of the best LB'kers to play the game? Some of their guys I never even heard of and the next thing you know they're running back pick's for 100 yards and a TD to top it off. The Bolt's need some of that magic.

Coaching, scouting, and luck. I doubt too many around the NFL thought James Harrison would turn into the player he has become, especially after being released from the Steelers and Ravens (After playing in NFL Europe), before landing with the Steelers yet again and becoming a pro-bowler.

The James Harrison story is unreal. Not often a player gets missed and missed again and ends up a bigtime player/Pro Bowler.

I can't believe that every NFL team passed on Cam Wake for 7 rounds and he had to play in the CFL. I'm Canadian so I was watching that season where he had like 27 sacks, it was so unreal. Every team ****** up their scouting reports on that one.

the Bolt's need to pilfer a defensive coach from the Stiller's, after all Chuck Noll worked for the Charger's before winning four Lombardi's with the Stiller's. Turnabout is fair play in my mind.

The stiller's have been doing it since Andy Russel, Jack Ham and Jack Lambert that goes back close to 30 years. The Bolt's have nowhere close to that kind of history. It ain't luck, there is no such thing!
