Not even close. Cooper has lost his job as far as I'm concerned, no way Rivera can start him next week.

We should have been looking for his replacement 2 years ago. Cooper is a terrible NFL starter. Dude misses more tackles than anyone I have ever seen

Siler brings energy and impact to our defense than Cooper just doesn't.

Siler bring talent and ability that Cooper could only dream of possessing

    Good call. Is this better?

Cooper misses more tackles than anyone I have seen since Zeke Moreno

So what your saying that Siler > Cooper. And you want everyone to validate you're opinion with a vote.

Doesn't negate his claim that you want people to validate matilack's opinion by (hopefully) voting your way with the poll.

FWIW I have no problem helping validate his opinion.

Cooper is everyone's favorite whipping boy. If Siler was better, he'd be starting. Period.

Cooper has been here for so long he's viewed as the "QB of the defense". Its hard to take the green dot off his helmet and give it too Burnett who's been here for 1yr, or Siler who is only 24, but the fact is he's a better player.

I guess my question was should Rivera start Cooper in week 3? Or give the job to Siler.

Sorry this thread wasn't more clear.

Ha! Clary has got him beat by a mile.

Siler is a play maker, Cooper is not.

Nate Kaeding has both beat by a light year.

Yeah, and only because Clinton Hart was already cut.

Cooper is the QB of the defense for a reason. And that reason is not that he sucks. The reality is that fans have been complaining about Cooper on this site for 4-5 years. Cooper is probably not quite as good as he was a few years ago, but to act like he's a bad player is just BS. Don't get me wrong, I love Siler. He brings the wood and has a nose for the ball, but he's slower than Cooper and he can't defend the pass or read defenses as good as Coop.

I wouldn't have a problem starting Siler and Cooper together, but one way or another Siler needs to be in the game to improve our run defense.

With the exception of one bad play against KC, our run D has been great this year, with either Coop or Siler in there.

Deservingly so, Clary and Cooper are the worst starters this team has on the roster

lol thank you, im glad to see that somebody besides me sees that cooper is this sites whipping boy. He only leads are team in tackles every year and is one of the most respected guys on the team by both coaches and players. For what reason everybody hates him around here beats me. And all reporters and coaches feel he is a tackling machine so the fact that yall say he misses mad tackles is crazy. The defense has had troubles but coop is definetly not the blame. Throughout all these injuries and craziness in our defense the last couple years hes actually been one of the most consistent so lets stop bashing our players for once no this site. GOOOO CHARGERSS!!!

Yes, he's also the biggest reason that we do so well against Peyton Manning. No other D in the league has a guy like Coop that can audible the defense the way Manning audibles his offense.

I understand why Siler is so revered. He is a more physical linebacker than Coop. He brings the wood. But that's not all that goes into making a good linebacker.

me too, I love Silers game, hes alot like Coop in the way there both tough nose oldschool linebackers and he does bring the wood a little more then Coop, but that dont mean coop doesnt bring the wood, shooot I dont think much linebackers in the league bring the wood like Siler so ill take that problem having two studs like that anyday :abq2::flag:
