I can't quibble too much about this ranking. Big Ben is up there because a)he's won a SB & b)the usual Steeler ball-hugging.

Carson Palmer is a very good QB. Terrific arm, getting more seasoned each year. If Cincy could get their act together as a team, they'd be in the thick of things.

Philip showed last year that he can come back from a slow start AND be a leader & warrior. He's the leader now - LT still commands the locker room, but PR is the man on the field now.

If championships define a QB's career, Philip's ranking will be at least 2 spots higher next year. :bolt:

Palmer I think is a better PURE QB in terms of a better arm and better deep balls then Rivers. Rivers I feel is the better field general and the better leader.

And Rothlesburger brings two elements that Rivers doesn't have; mobility (and that was before the injury) and a cannon arm. And yes since he won the big one I can't quibble with him being ahead of Rivers.

This is honestly a very good list - and I know Reg wasn't complaining about citing this list because on the NFC side, it listed TONY ROMO as the best QB in the NFC (you got some explaining to do REG!!!)

My only big change would be to move David Gerard up to right behind Rivers.

I think Cutler is a bit high on this list. Other than that it sems pretty accurate.

This should be the year that Rivers steps up his games by several notches. The only things that concerns me is the consistency of the protection he gets (or lack thereof...)

The health & play of both of our lines will be a key issue this year. News on the Hardwick front doesn't sound particularly encouraging - Withrow & Newberry better be ready to step up.

It's good to see Philip getting some high marks but he really needs to bring his game to the next level. He needs to be more consistent with his passing game and decision making on the field. No more excuses for him, buck up and make it happen.

I agree. needs to stop staring down recievers and throwing INTs.

I know he better in the ssecond half of last season but it still worries me some

I'm 100% behind PR and have been since we traded for him. I don't think he will do any worse than last year but I want to see improvement in his play.

It took Brees a few years to get it going and now is the time for PR to shine.

I disagree about Palmer. I think he's the 3rd best QB in the NFL, behind Brady and Peyton. Peyton is 1st in my opinion. What's wrong with Palmer's leadership? I don't blame him for Ocho Cinco or Chris Henry, he calls them out when he has to. The one thing that I don't like about him is he gets his WRs killed. He expects toughness out of the WR position, but then you have TJ Housh concussions and Chad Johnson getting blasted every other game. But he's still a better QB than Rivers or Big Ben in my opinion.
