    National City is exploring the potential of erecting a stadium on 45 acres on its waterfront, City Manager Chris Zapata said this week.

    As part of a stadium deal, the Chargers want land to develop housing and a commercial development to pay the costs of building the facility, and Zapata said National City has two inland sites – one privately owned, one owned by the city – where the revenue-producing project could be built.</blockquote>
