From the beginning LaDainian Tomlinson did a great job running down the field. First regular season game vs. Wash. 113 yards and 2 TDs.:ABQ1:

His 7th and 8th seasons were damn good, so that bodes well for LT in the next few years.

But, it also shows that RB's lose "it" real fast. Once that step goes, they are toast.

Agreed, but injuries showed up at that point in OJ's career. Probably a bigger factor than losing a step. Only played 7 games that one year.

LT trains hard to prevent injuries, I am sure much harder than anyone in the 70's. If he is to go down as one of the best of all time he needs to be injury free over the next 3 years.

    Totally agree.

6.0 yards per carry in the 2003 yard season is just unreal.

Jim Brown's best year he had 1863 yards and an amazing 6.4 yards per carry.

Don't think you will see anyone over 6.0 again in our lifetime. (except maybe the Burner)
