    Been waiting for this one.

    STUDS:
Rivers -- that pick was on Floyd, that was a terrible route. Otherwise, nearly flawless
Lambo -- 2/2 on FG and good depth on his kickoffs (I'll give him a pass on the 60)
Verrett -- Pretty much neutralized one of the top receivers in the league (A. Brown)
Gates -- Welcome back big fella. Congrats on #100 and #101.

    MIDDLE OF THE PACK
Attaochu -- Came out flying but then disappeared
    Ingram -- See Attaochu

    DUDS
Flowers -- Everytime there was a big catch by a Steeler, Flowers was the one beaten. How much are you making again, and for how long?
O-Line -- More flags flying than one would see at a Veterans' Day parade
Gordon -- Will have better days and could have benefited from better run blocking, but you CANNOT -- you MUST NOT -- put the ball on the ground. Period.
McCoy -- You are quickly getting on my nerves with your predictability
Pagano -- The defense in the second half did a great job until the money was on the table, and they folded yet again
The Crowd -- Why the hell did the Q sound like Three Rivers in the Steel Curtain days?!

    Studs:
    • Rivers - Played well under a lot of pressure and a weak run game.
    • Woodhead - Super consistent player and is frankly saving us on offense a lot of the time.
    • Gates - Good strong return.
    • Allen - Played well once Reich realized you can pass on the Steelers.
    • Verrett - Shut down an absolute top tier player in Brown... too bad he can only shut down 1 player at a time.
    • Lambo - Good kickoffs and that 54 yarder was legit. In on some tackles on kickoffs too
    Duds:
    • Oline - Injuries are killing this unit as well as the players they are supposed to block for but these are professional players and they need to step up.
    • Defense as a whole on the last few drives was god awful outside of Verrett. Weddle was invisible and Flowers got blown up multiple times. The OLB's were constantly overrunning on the pass rush and they lost contain on Vick multiple times.
    • Coaching staff - It seems like every game it takes Reich at least a quarter sometimes even a half or more to understand what he can do playcalling wise when its something that should be revealed on the tape he should be watching during the week. I'm done with Pagano personally I've never cared for his style and this is just another late game meltdown on his resume.
    • Front office - Glad we have Donald Brown back.

Game Ball: Philip Rivers (35-48, 365 yards, 2 TDs)

Studs: Antonio Gates (9 receptions for 92 yards); Jason Verrett (shutting down Antonio Brown)

Duds: Chris Hairston (yet more penalties and weak blocking from the struggling OL reserve)

Crud of the Week (Tie): Chris Watt (easily the worst active player on the roster, a total bust of a draft pick that consistently gets pushed straight back into Rivers even when he has a major size advantage over the rushing defender and commits far too many penalties, a truly putrid piece of :poop: football player that needs to be gone forever from our roster); Burned Flowers (virtually every big pass play the Steelers got was against Flowers and that would have included the game winning TD had Addae not drilled Miller to stop him from getting into the end zone because Burned Flowers sure as heck wasn't going to stop him from scoring--you know that you have done something when you make into Chris Watt territory in terms of the "quality" of your performance).

To those of you who do not complain about the lack of drafting quality beef on both sides of the Line of scrimmage, you get what you ask for. So those duds are what you want.

Gates and Verrett were the standouts tonight.

As long as Spanos is the owner....we will NEVER be a Championship team......he refuses to spend money on quality players.....Spanos is a fucken tight wad......which is why he won't get LA......he doesn't have the sack.

You are wrong. Spanos DOES spend money, we are usually up against the cap year in, year out. The PROBLEM is WHO he spends his money on, not if he does. So he's not cheap, just DUMB with his money, there is a difference.

STILL BEGGING FOR BEEF. You reap what you sow stupid front office.

Agreed. All of those swirling ****** towels was so nauseating to see on national tv in our home turf.......so f'n embarrassing. This is one of the reasons why Spanos wants to get the f*ck outta Diego......theres no more fan support.

Here's a dynamic flip.......just watch to see how many Chargers fans you spot at Lambeau field next Sunday...nada......That's the way it should be.

Begging for beef is so ******* true. The knowledgeable fans have literally been screaming for it for as long as I can remember even when we had some decent lines you can never have too much beef.

If they can't beat a Michael Vick Steelers, then there is no way they will beat a team like the Pats to make it to the SB.

Just put em on the clock.

    As far as next week.
    Prison Sex.
    Chargers are gonna get bent.

Jason Verrett is a Pro Bowler right now. It's just shame he didn't pick that damn ball off, that's two potential pick 6's now he's dropped.

Philip Rivers is still good, imagine if he had an offensive line, or an offensive coordinator.

Well that right there is just the epitome of masochism I do believe.

Wouldn't a simple flogging with a Cat O'nine tails be less painful ? [IMG]

His hands need to improve bigtime if he wants to become an alround elite CB, his coverage skills are superb though .................... River's is a deadset gun, end of story, I'd be willing to bet that 28 GM's would take him right now in a heartbeat to lead their teams. As good a leader of men on the field as there is in the game today.

It is every football fan's duty to visit NFL Mecca one day. I'm already fine with the incoming asskicking the Chargers are about to take and I could not care less. Been waiting my whole NFL Fan life for this Sunday and I'm not gonna let the stink of the Chargers bring me down.

    Studs
Philip Rivers: Did a ton when given the chance and was more responsible for good offensive calls than Reich
Antonio Gates: Welcome back ageless one
Jason Verrett: Clearly the best CB on the team
Jimmy Wilson: He's been a lot better than expected
DJ Fluker: I just love how tough this SOB is
Manti Te'o: Much better all around game
Josh Lambo: Growing up before our eyes
Mike Scifres: Best game of the season
Patrick Robinson: Give serious thought to resigning him asap!

    Middle Ground
Melvin Ingram/Jerry Attaochu: Both started great, finished with a whimper
Jacoby Jones: Good to see him out there, not much to see though

    Duds
Chris Hairston/Kenny Wiggins: Being asked to do the impossible but still so many penalties
Trevor Robinson: Specifically calling this SOB out for showing no effort on that INT for a TD
Brandon Flowers: Where the hell did last year's Flowers go?
Sean Lissenmore: Why is he starting?
Donald Butler: He needs to be replaced already
Frank Reich: Philip Rivers saved his *** multiple times, didn't attack Steelers' weaknesses except for a few times in the game
Mike McCoy: Moronic decisions, play calling, questionable team toughness, it's time to consider getting rid of him.

Forget about Arians. Just imagine what would have happened if we got Steve Keim, the 2013 and 2014 Pro Football Talk NFL Executive of the Year and 2014 Sporting News NFL Executive of the Year, as our GM. (Naturally, part of the reason why he won the 2013 Pro Football Talk NFL Executive of the Year award was because he fleeced Telesco in the Te'o trade and then flipped the extra pick received for a second extra pick--draft management at its finest.)

Biggest dud was the number of charger fans that sold their tickets.

On a national stage SD showed they really don't care. More fuel for Spanos to make his case for relocation. It will be the same in LA, since no one in LA really wants them to move there.
