    <font class="newstext">Each time a Chargers player sacked quarterback Aaron Brooks in the first two-plus quarters of last night's season-opening 27-0 victory at Oakland, he paid homage to Foley by doing the linebacker's "bull dance" – pawing at the ground with one foot, then the other.</font>

    <font class="newstext">Foley, who turned 31 yesterday, remained in fair condition at Sharp Memorial Hospital, eight days after he was shot by an off-duty Coronado police officer who suspected him of drunken driving, Foley's agent said.</font></blockquote>
