LT should be excited about the extra 3 yards per carry he'll get dragging Donnie all over the field.

Philip Rivers won't be excited about the extra interceptions he'll be throwing to Donnie.

The only person Donnie could cover is LoNeal and I'm not too worried about that. Although, I would like to see Lo catch a pass and do that heat seeking missile thing he does aimed at Donnie.

"Donnie Edwards led the Chargers in tackles each of the past five seasons and leads all NFL linebackers with 17 interceptions since 2002."

Donnie can cover a bit.

Can he match up on LT or Gates? Nope, hence my LoNeal comment.

Riiiiiiiight. Because he threw so many of them last year right?

Why so negative? If Donnie is the prize that all the Donnie lovers believe, how come we haven't heard about him much until now? The first wave of free agents is over. Donnie is what you call second tier.

I am sure glad AJ did not make this whining SOB the highest paid WILB in the league.

Lorenzo Neal deserves being paid like the top dog but Donnie Edwards does not.

When was the last time you saw Donna just blast the **** out of someone ????? .....effing never.

Let whomever likes to pick up dog **** - sign him. :helm1:

Donnie will be a good compliment in KC to their other mid-30's cornerbacks who have trouble not getting dragged 5 yards on every tackle. I hope they give him everything he asks for.

I liked Donnie when he was here, but it was time to part ways. He's long in the tooth and he may think he can play 5 more years at a high level, but so did Junior when he was on his way to Miami. Donnie is a great ball hawking LB...but his tackles stats have ALWAYS been overrated. Good luck to him on his new team. Cooper and Wilhelm are going to be great MLB'ers for us.

I'd love it if he stayed in division.

Then all these people who think he's good will realize when he gets dominated and ran over 2 games this year.

Donnie did such a great job while he was a Charger... I ain't gonna knock him or his game. I would prefer that he go to the NFC altogether. Dude didn't get all of his INTs by being stupid or lucky. He's a solid player.

    'Zactly!

If he goes to KC, I see in my crystal ball...
I see a hole in the line opening up, Lo Neal leading the way with LT behind. 4 yards just past the line see Neal KNOCK THE LIVING CHRIST out of Donnie and LT has a 9-15 yard run.

Donnie gets the occasional INT, because he waits there, and maybe gets dragged for a bit helping to stop the run butttt..

If he was really all that and worth the money he wanted the simple fact is he would be gone for now.

He wants way too much money for way too long. Frankly he was never ranked that high by any experts.

Now people with a mancrush on Donnie can yelp all they want, however the longer time goes by without Donnie on a team only proves that he isnt worth what he wants.

    Per Prisco's blog...

    Quick hits

    • Veteran linebacker Donnie Edwards, who was let go by the Chargers last week, was also in Lake Buena Vista. He said he plans to take a handful of trips in the coming weeks before signing a new deal. New Orleans is one team that is interested in Edwards. The Saints tried to trade for him last summer, but the deal never worked out. Edwards, who turns 34 in April, is getting up there in years, but he said it should not be a factor for any team that signs him. "I've been fortunate," Edwards said. "I've only missed one game in my career. I take care of my body year round. So my body feels good. As long as my body holds up, that's how long I'm going to play. I love the game. It's fun."
