SAN DIEGO ---- Philip Rivers is the ultimate team guy. Today, the Chargers' quarterback and his cohorts salute another collection of hard-working people required to work as one: the United States Marine Corps.

The Chargers are conducting practice at Camp Pendleton for the first time to show their reverence for the local military. While the team has visited before, it never has gone through drills on the Oceanside base.

"They have their own team,'' Rivers said of the Marines. "And for them to see a team like ours show some intensity, enthusiasm and throw it around ... this is how our team can show them the respect and honor they deserve.'</blockquote>
