Jake Peavy is our ace and C.Y. is our solid #2... That topic and the Padres staff has killed me and today, Phil Nevin (during the pregame) put words to the mike...

He noted that Jake Peavy should be starting tonight...It's his fith damn day...Why is it that we try to stick w/our rotatation regardless of days off, spot starts here and there etc...?

Jake and when healthy C.Y., should get the ball every respective 5th day and the others, as is/was the MLB norm should learn to skip days/starts... Days off shouldn't matter, fill ins here and there, what have you...Jake and C.Y. should get the damn ball every 5th...

In the long run as Nevin put it, by doing this, you will get an extra start or two outta these guys if we run the rotation that way.

This division will not be won by more then a game or two...We need every damn start we can get...

BTW...This was the first educated thing I heard Nevin say since he started to help with the pregame.

    On another baseball topic...

Those teams that won "ships" by claiming championships are won w/pitching and defense also won with a team that can hit (at least a little)...As of this writing, we can't hit for ****, which is real bad.

Wally Joyner isn't the fix all... Money ball is too much of a situational 'thinking mans' hitting approach. "F" thinking...Let the kids hit.

And, yet one more spoof...Can Khalil Greene lay off at least one damn bender in the dirt this season...Damn that guy lacks plate bites on the freak'n curve ball...

    That is all.
