    New York Jets ‏@nyjets2h
Also released by the Jets: RB-KR Joe McKnight, G Stephen Peterman, LB Sean Progar-Jackson, P Ryan Quigley, WR Marcus Rucker...

Joe McKnight is very interesting, one of the best kick returners in the league the last 2 years...

Didn't he get into a fist fight with someone last pre-season? Or am I thinking of a different guy... As far as I'm aware he's a great returner and I'd love to bring him in, unless he's got issues in the locker room or an injury I hadn't read about...

I really like Tommy Streeter, 6'5 220, could be a possible Floyd replacement as they have the same measurements, Streeter with more speed. He was never a fit in the Ravens inconsistent offense.

And a head-case to boot. I also don't recall him being that stellar of a returner. He didn't crack the top 20 in return yardage or average yards per return for either KR's or PR's last season. You sure you're not thinking of another former Jet (and current Patriots) Leon Washington?

I stand corrected, there. Evidently NFL.com has separate player categories for KR's and PR's, I had it on PR's, and McKnight didn't return a single punt last year.

Still not sure I see the value in rostering a guy solely as a returner. The fact that he couldn't establish himself in a crowd of RB's as mediocre as the Jets' and was "too much drama" for Rex freakin' Ryan doesn't speak terribly well of him.

Well for one it keeps Royal and Allen from having to do it, as they are far more important pieces to the puzzle. And would allow us to cut Goodman who is completely hopeless, and also doesn't return punts.

And when I look at our roster I don't see any super standout UDFA's or returning PS guys that I'm dieing to see us keep, Cromartie, Willie, Catthouse, Becton etc.. all likely to make it to our practice squad should they not make the 53.

A couple other notable cuts...QB Scott Tolzein and WR Da'Rick Rodgers (wonder if there is something off the field that cause this)

Seems like the Bills are way too impatient. Lot of their local reporters seem to think it wasn't a good move. From what I heard he was having himself a great camp and exceeding his expectations already in May.

that was the only story I heard about that was 'negative' if that. I'd sign him in a heart beat, he has Dez Bryant type potential, his built very similar, but obviously Dez was more polished coming out of college. Its just a question where this kids head is at.

It could just be my bias (though I feel as though it's a well-founded one), but when was the last time you remember a tailback from SC not having his head up his ***? Sultan McCullough (if anyone even remembers who he is!)? For God's sake, Reggie Bush thought it was a good idea to put his man bit inside that walking dumpster fire named Kim Kardashian and darn near married her!
