SAN DIEGO ---- There was one Charger who didn't crow when the Antonio Cromartie was drafted: cornerback Drayton Florence.

It was Florence's job that most anticipated Cromartie would earn. Florence's spot was the one to be cleared Cromartie, for the 19th overall pick. Florence would take a back seat, while Cromartie helped drive the secondary back to respectability.

But Florence is far from on life-support. To date, he has stiff-armed Cromartie and doesn't plan to let up.</blockquote>
