The Bolts showed some moxy coming back in that game. The lesson from this game is simple: Don't dig yourself a hole early in the game. The offensive line isn't as bad as it looked today. When the crowd is deafeningly loud it's almost impossible for linemen to get off the ball.

I don't see this as a game that kills us. I actually see this game as somewhat of a positive. PR showed the ability to play in a hostile environment. He didn't go Ryan Leaf on us. To me, if this game demonstrated anything it's that we can't always come out early in the game forcing the ball to LT. Once you start throwing the ball, then LT can have some success, but we came out today and played right into what their defense was expecting. They get the early fumble and that got their crowd into it, gave them great field position, and started the downhill slide in the first half. We should start games using LT mostly as a decoy and taking advantage of the defense overcommitting to stop him.

We're going to destroy the Chiefs when they come to SD. They won't have the advantage of our o-line using a silent count letting them get off the ball a step early every snap.

it is the way that we lost in the trenches today that has me pizzed off...just manhandled...Jamal, Merriman, Castillo were just completely neutralized...completely ineffective against a bunch of scrub Chief Tackles...
The Oline was dominated by a poor Chiefs DLine as well

The BOTTOM LINE here is that Herm totally out coached Morty yet again...with much less talent too...

You got to admit though hitting a 53 yarder even with the wind is pretty tight. That thing would have been good from 60.

Yep. That is fact. Giving up 4 sacks to these guys too is just bunk.

Ive only been putting up with it for the last 8, and i'm already close to taking a bullet.

But of course I think, looking over the past. This is the best team weve ever had. So, ****

Good takes Thunderstruck. We are a good team, that can play from behind. I am really dissapointed in the last defensive series. Letting KC move the ball with less than a minute on the clock. I am really worried about what the Rams offense will do to us.

But I agree that Rivers can play anywhere. The guy is super posied and I feel that we always have a chance to score when he's leading us.

Well, at least we're playing our divisional away games early in the year, rather than at the end of the year.

The giving up a last minute drive thing is pretty unreal. I was already working on the coin toss. Thought Marty Jr. would run out the clock.

No morale victories when you are this talented...
This was just a terrible game played by a very underachieving team...changes need to be made soon...

Guys, we are still a good team. Its a tough loss, but we shot ourselves in the foot and almost recovered.

We will be fine. Be happy.

LT is Marshall Faulk now. He's not Barry Sanders. His success will come on the heels of a successful passing attack, not by running him off-tackle when the defense is anticipating the run. I don't care if our o-line was playing like the Chiefs. Look how many yards LJ made after initial contact. LT doesn't get those after-contact yards at the LoS. He needs the ball in space. We get him that space by getting the ball to our receivers and tight ends.
