Clearly we have the sweetest logo there. Raiders aint bad. The rest need new designers. Also interesting to note we are the only team that has kept its helmut logo virtually unchanged since inception. Best uni 50 years running.

I am not a big Al fan but if he says the Bolts and Bills would have won those games I gotta go with it. Don't let anyone talk down our AFL Championship.

Lombardi said that the 60's Bolts that destroyed the Patriots for the AFL championship was good but no match for the NFL teams at the time.Though some say the 60's Chargers could have been a good test for the 63 Bears.

The AFL is what got me interested in pro football and I have stayed loyal to this day. I did hate the merger and the inclination of the AFC, screw that, we are the AFL forever.

But the Bears were challenged, and they did not want to play us.

The AFL is what got me hooked.

Being the underdog as a league and disrespected lit the fire as well. It was US (AFL) versus the NFL. We were the bastard step league. Semi-pro ball versus the NFL was the snicker.

We all rooted for the AFL to kick the **** out of the NFL even when the Super Bowls were first formed.....that was until the god damn holy roller. From that day forward, I lost a lot of motivation (if not all) for rooting for the AFL in any Super Bowl contest.

We'll never know if they would have won or not, but I do believe the Charger team that beat the Patriots for the AFL title, as well as the two Bills teams that beat the Chargers for the AFL title all would have at the very least given fans a closer game than the Chiefs and Raiders did in the first two Super Bowls.

If I had to pick only one team that would have had the best chance of winning I would say it was that last Bills team. They had a tremendous defense, for which they never received credit as the AFL was stereotyped as a high-offense, no-defense league. And their offense wan't too shabby either with Cookie Gilchrist and Jack Kemp leading the way.
