Rivers is a gamer. He might not always play flawlessly. He may occasionally slip into some bad habits. But I'm very confident in the guy getting it done when it counts. Some players elevate their game when it counts, and Rivers is that kind of guy. Anyone expecting him to stink it up in the playoffs is going to be disappointed.

That was fantastic, thanks for posting that.

Something had turned, call it courage, resolve, or grit. Whatever it was the Chargers had it.

If the Chargers play long into the postseason, they may look back at this game with pride. As the turning point were their focus narrowed, their resolve hardened, and their season really began.

This is the game that we will all look back upon and say, "Here is where the Chargers woke up, this was the start of the true season."

Hats off to them, they did not give up and won a great victory.

How did the NFL not Suspend those to fukheads for that total dirty hit on Merriman. It was well after and away from the play. :icon_evil:

    Dirty plays:

Tried to take out Rivers knee and sent him to the sidelines.

VBosch - Tried to twist LTs leg on another and threw his leg out in a way that would pull a hammy.

Total takeout on Merriman and they did.

Those refs were a fuking joke.

Hope we get that team at home next time we play them and knock some fukers out!

They came after Merriman. Those rats. I'm glad we beat them down in the end.

That was a tough fought game with cheap shots from both teams, I think we needed a game like that to wake our guys up. Philip Rivers became a full team players that day, at least in the eyes of his teammates. I know some fans will never let go and call for his head at any chance they get.:bolt:

Wow ... I was trying to remain neutral about the hits in that game, but those on PR & Merriman were pure BS. Mawae should just keep his friggin' mouth shut about not trying to hurt another player. Just a big liar, along w/Stewart.

Wonder if the NFL got a look at these shots?? If so, then I gotta believe that Fisher pulled some strings for his thug players.

    Let me get this straight...

Play is over, whistle blown and Merriman gets hammered by TWO GUYS? Biggest bullshit missed call I've EVER seen.

But after watching this, I AM PUMPED!!!!

Well Jeff Fisher is the head of the NFL competition committee, so im sure he had some pull in his guys not getting suspended and Shaun Phillips getting a bigger fine than Kevin Mawae

Like i said earlier, **** JEFF FISHER!

Exacly Vikingbolt. Man, that was awesome and made my day! Those Titans players are some dirty mofos man. What goes around "CUTS" around. I say the next time we play those guys we cut the shiat out of them. Those were some Dirty Denver tactics right there. Glad they lost. They deserved to lose and we deserved to WIN that game baby!

I can't believe they didn't throw a flag on that second Titans players who leveled Merriman. Just think if Merriman had hit Tom Brady or Peyton Manning that late. The league needs to do a better job protecting ALL players from cheap shots- especially after the play is over.

I love that Philip told LT that he's been playing bad all game...the first step towards improvement is admitting your shortcomings and then going out and fixing them...and boy did Philip come through in flying colors. If we get good Philip for the playoffs (which usually means good Marcus and OL play) then watch out! Whooooa Nelly!!!!

They sure did EARN the win. On the other hand, I prefer not to wish harm on another team, because as you say, what goes 'round comes round. Heart, RESOLVE (per announcers on that video) team spirit should win!

Whats done is done, there is no going back. In the future when we get them, we'll know to come out swinging from the opening bell.

The bully pushed us around until we couldn't take it anymore and we bloodied his nose. I'm sure they want no part of us right now and I'm sure the rest of the teams in the league has taken notice. Fawk with the Bolt and we'll shove it up your arse.

The chargers have all the talent in the world. The only thing that was holding them back was they weren't playing all out. Great atheltes have that problem sometimes. They relax. As the chargers have been this year. The jacksonville battle woke them up to the fact that teams aren't gonna just play games. THEy're gonna bring it. And the titans game told them that teams will do anything and everything dirty to beat you.

Just a guess but those were the best things to happen to the team. The team has to go out and kick ash. Screw those mothers on the other side of the line. They don't mean anything but trouble. So kick their fickin ashes.

The old adage. THey ain't gonna give it to you. You've got to get it.
