Well, the official draft stuff is over, what is left? The free agents that did not get drafted, of course! Is there someone on your list who might get that chance with the Bolts? Didn't we find a real gem like an Addae from being undrafted to being a starter? Who could be the next one?

    Thank you,

    Pointy

Jeremy Cash definitely, really surprised he wasn't drafted.

It'd be kinda cool to give the Seau kid a chance to make the team.

    Kenneth Farrow
    School: Houston
    Position: RB

Positive: Three-year starter twice named as an all-Conference selection. Career-best 1037 yards rushing and 14 TDs came during his junior season. Underrated running back with a well-rounded game. Runs hard on the inside, displays good short area quickness and the ability to bounce around defenders or piles. Plays with an aggressive style, drives his shoulders through defenders and picks up yardage off initial contact. Displays outstanding blocking vision and gives effort, squaring into opponents and taking them from the action. Solid pass catcher out of the backfield.

Negative: More of a straight-line runner and loses a lot of momentum changing direction. Lacks the agility to turn the corner. One speed ball carrier.

Analysis: Farrow was a three-year captain at Houston and a ball carrier who does the little things well. He could easily find a spot on an NFL roster as a 4th running back.

Chargers signed Washington State WR Dom Williams.

Williams (6'3/198) was a deep threat in Wazzu's vertical attack, finishing his career with 2,889 yards and 30 touchdowns on 192 catches (15.05 YPR). He was named honorable mention All-Pac 12 as a senior. Williams helped himself at the Cougars' Pro Day, burning 4.4-flat with a 40 1/2-inch vertical. Extremely drop prone in college, Williams may be worth trying at defensive back.

So far not much to write home about for a team with a bunch of depth openings.

    Our current S situation...
    Lowery
    Addae
    Phillips
    Stuckey
    Daniels

Grim. Lowery was a solid depth signing, but I didn't expect for him to be the projected starter at this point in the process. Not going out and getting Reggie Nelson seems like a pretty strange decision now for a FO that needs every single win.

I wouldn't mind them signing a FA to compete, but I think they like Lowery

We probably didn't try to sign him, there's no way he's dumb enough to turn this opportunity down, he would have had an excellent chance to make the 53 man roster. He's never going to get a chance to start there, at least not in the next 2-3 years.

    Can also add

IOL Sebastian "Swede" Johannson from Marshall - who was 3sigmaathlete.com's 3rd or 4th SPARQiest OL in the class. He's raw, but has a ton of potential.
Illinois State QB-turned WR/RB/DB Tre Roberson
KR/WR Deandre Reaves, Marshall (whose birthday it is today)
    SS Adrian McDonald, Houston
    OT Mike McQueen, Ohio
OLB Chris Landrum, Jacksonville State (former 3-star recruit by Auburn)
OLB Tyler Marcordes, Ga Tech (nice measurables and split-times)
    C Spencer Pulley, Vanderbilt
    CB Trevor Williams, Penn State
    CB Larry Scott, Oregon State
    TE Jay Rome, Georgia
    OT Zeth Ramsay, Colorado Mesa

Well, there are 31 other teams talking to those guys and making calls as soon as the draft's over...

(what's that. about a 3% chance of getting any particular UFA one would like?)

I am aware of this, that doesn't change the fact that IMO this is a weak haul

Okay...for me, given the low odds, plus the fact that it's a pool of the undrafted...my default mode is low expectations...

    and look: Expectations met! :D

But, in all seriousness, who really claims to be super knowledgeable on how good dozens of low-rated college guys really are?

its all relative, sure overall expectations are low for undrafted guys but relative to whats available you would like to come away with a nice haul. Getting Devon Cajuste undrafted I am sure has 49er fans prety excited for example

When you consider that usually not more than one UDFA guy makes the roster, I don't think one's expectations should ever be that high. The Chargers have been lucky in getting a UDFA on the roster in 19 straight years. Most, are just camp bodies. A few guys will stand out if you're lucky... that's true every year.
