The Chargers' run defense has been outstanding again this season, and the reasons are plentiful. Ask anyone in San Diego, and they'll tell you it all starts with NT Jamal Williams, who commands a double-team on nearly every play and still has the strength and quickness off the ball to make plays in the backfield. The rotation of Luis Castillo, Igor Olshansky, Jacques Cesaire and DeQuincy Scott at the two DE positions has stood up well. Olshansky does a solid job of occupying blockers and holding his ground, and Castillo, a rookie, gets a good push and is always around the ball. It also helps to have a strong safety like Terrence Kiel, who loves playing near the line of scrimmage, and a host of active linebackers all suited to play the 3-4. The Chargers have not allowed more than 109 yards rushing in a game all season and are allowing an average of only 62.4 yards on the ground over the last five games.</blockquote>
