Rivers will never win a SB. QB is the most important position in football. He can win games on sucks teams just by calling his own plays and making great dec. Also u need an x-factor D player. We have neither sadly TBH.

He himself already stated he cannot call his own plays well.

He has no X-factors adv. He cannot reliably run for TD/1st downs like average NFL qb. Both SB qb's ran for key 1st/downs and TD to get their teams to the sB breaking other teams back single handily. QB is the only position that is uncovered and can be greatly exploited to your advantage if u use this knowledge at key situations and not over use it like both SB teams did this year.

What he does in the REg season doesn't happen vs top playoff teams. He won't have wide open un-covered RB's/WR's vs top 10 teams.

Only if other teams had same problems could he overcome these issues. Too many teams like the Steelers and Packers have mobile QB's. Mobil QB's buy 2-3x the time extra and avoid sure thing sacks much less create 1st downs and TD with there legs. Think about this? Ben R avoids sack then throws TD vs Rivers gets sacked fumbles...

So go Steelers go AFC. Hope for new coach and new QB if your goals are to be #1. Or focus on running and D and hope he doesn't throw picks is plan B. Our currant system is built on winning in the REg season only by exposing average teams weaknesses.

Nice 3 and out and they get the ball to start the second half. Not sure they will get much going on this drive tho.
