This shoulds like a pretty lousy deal to me.

This season House of Blues® San Diego is offering an all-inclusive Chargers ticket package for all Chargers regular season home games.
House of Blues Power Ticket includes:

    * One Chargers Premium Ticket in Plaza Level
    * Pregame Power Ticket food buffet at House of Blues
    * 2008 Chargers Yearbook
    * Round Trip Bus Transportation to and from the game

Cost $175 per House of Blues Power Ticket

Ticket packages are available exclusively at House of Blues San Diego (while supplies last).

House of Blues San Diego (directions)
    1055 Fifth Avenue
    San Diego, CA 92101
    (619) 299-2583

Must be 21 years of age unless accompanied by an adult 25 years or older. Maximum 4 minors per adult.

You get a ticket that cost $98 and you're paying $77 for a pregame buffet and the bus trip.
Then again, I wonder if they'll raise parking prices. Still not a good deal either way you look at it IMO.

The ticket is a Premium Plaza level ticket.

    Those run for $125 easy.

Then there's the Bus ride, which saves on gas. Chalk up $5 .

Also saves on parking at the same. That's at least $10.

Then you get a Chargers yearbook program. Another $10 or so.

    That adds up to $150.

The $25 buffet at HOB includes all-you-can-eat and really isn't that much.

I might actually look into that if I choose to attend a game.

    Premium Plaza? :icon_huh:

Does that mean it's on the 50 yard line or something? Last I checked, all seats in plaza (where my season tix are, as are B4L's) cost $98, $90 if you buy an entire season's worth.

(BTW, if you ever need a ticket, let me know)

Thanks for pointing that out WS but I have to ask too... what is "Premium Plaza?"

I have Plaza 25 that go for $98 each.
If these seats go for $125 and if beer is served on the bus, that's not a bad deal.

I'm wondering if it's like a deal that a club called "Bohagar's" once had in Baltimore.
You supply your own ticket but $10 included a round trip bus to the Ravens game, Breakfast Buffet, and unlimited cans of beer on the bus (Miller Genuine Draft to be exact.)

Taken it that was back in the mid to late 90's but the deal is still pretty pricey.

Yeah, there is no such thing as a "premium plaza" section. I am curious to where those tickets actually are. Either way, they sell for $98 a piece.

Could be the HOB is just buying them straight off StubHub or another ticket broker.

There, the Plaza tickets are marked up to $125 or more. The Plaza season opener tickets on StubHub are $139.

    I see.

Though I think it would be a better idea to have it like "Bohagar's."
Round trip bus, Breakfast Buffet, and unlimited cans of beer on the bus. Supply your own ticket and charge $20.

Then you keep the buffet going through the day and charge $5 at the door for people to come in and watch the game at HOB.

Then have drink or appetizer specials after the Chargers game so people will hang out and party at HOB to watch the Sunday night game.

BTW... this email was sent out by the Chargers front office.

I'd pay that premium for the convenience alone. Sounds like a hulluva deal to me.

I have always preferred the tail gate approach. At least then you can choose the company you keep. These kind of things can peg the obnoxious meter.
