So who is a lock as a starter next year? Who is a lock to make the team? Who is on the fence? Who is gone?

First, here is a list of UFA's for next season, who gets re-signed, who walks?

Seyi Ajirotutu - Good guy, good chemistry, my guess is he walks
Charlie Whitehurst - Bye Bye CBJ, Sorenson will take the backup spot next year
Danario Alexander - I would take a flyer on him and bring him into camp
    Lavelle Hawkins - Gone
Darell Stuckey - Sign him. Losing Kassim put our ST's into a spiral of **** for a year or two. Best ST guy on team
Ronnie Brown - Thanks for the memories Ronnie
Cam Thomas - I would bring him back as a backup for cheap, but he will get a better contract somewhere else
Chad Rhinehart - Sign him. Solid Left Guard.
Larry English - Send him to Washington with the dude who drafted him
Rich Ohrnberger - Sign him. Solid backup.
Richard Marshall - Sign him. Solid backup.
Reggie Walker - I'm fine with bringing him into camp.
Donald Butler - #1 off season duty of Tommy T. Sign DB long term (5 years 30-40 million)
    Ryan Mathews - #2 duty. Re-sign Mathews. (4 years 20-25 million)

Ok, on to the offense: (With Frank Reich as OC)

    QBs - Rivers, Sorenson
RB - Mathews, Woodhead, Draft Pick/UDFA/FA
    FB - McClain
WR - Allen, Royal, VB, Floyd/Alexander, Draft Pick/UDFA/FA
TE - LDG, AG, John Phillips (Yes, AG will get less snaps then LDG next year)
LT - King Dunlap, Mike Harris
    LG - Rhinehart
C - Nick Hardwick (Last year is my guess), Ohrnberger
RG - Draft Pick, Clary (Fine if they let him go to save money)
    RT - Fluker, Schilling

And Defense: (With Pags back as DC)

LE - Kendall Reyes, Draft Pick/UDFA/FA
    NT - Draft Pick/UDFA/FA, Guy
    RE - Corey Liget, Lissemore
OLB - Melvin Ingram, Dwight Freeney(Says he'll be back), Keiser, Draft Pick/UDFA/FA
    MLB - DB, Te'o, Walker, Draft Pick/UDFA/FA
CB - Wright, Draft Pick/UDFA/FA, Richard Marshall, Stevie Williams
SS - Brandon Taylor, Jahleel Addae
    FS - Weddle, Stuckey

    And Special Teams:

Kicker - Novak had a solid year, needs to work on kickoff depth
    Punter - Scifres
    LS - Windt

And finally, the biggest needs of the team:

    Pass Rushing OLB!

What I'd like to see.. Though still early as we just came off a loss, but I've been studying the roster the last few weeks..

    Restructure -- Weddle, Gates
Cut -- McClain, Royal, Clary, English, Mouton, Cox, Patrick
    Re-Sign -- Rinehart, Ohrenberger, D. Butler, C. Butler, Stuckey
Undecided -- Jarret Johnson, Danario Alexander

Sign a CB, RB, ILB, and WR in FA. Need at least 1 starter and 1 role player there.
Draft 2 OL, WR, NT, OLB and fill in other areas of need in depth -- RB, CB, DL

    QB - Rivers, Sorensen
RB - Mathews, Woody, K. Williams
WR - Floyd, Allen, Brown, (maybe) Alexander
TE - Green, Gates, Byrne, Otten
OL - Dunlap, Harris, Rinehart, Hardwick, Ohrenberger, Troutman, Fluker, Becton
DL - Reyes, Liuget, Lissemore, Guy, Geathers, Jerideau, Scafe
LB - Ingram, Butler, Te'o, Freeney, T. Williams, Keiser, Gachkar, Bird, Manning
DB - Wright, Gilchrist, S. Williams, Cromartie, C. Butler, Jones, Weddle, Taylor, Addae, Stuckey
    ST - Novak, Scifres, Windt

LB - Jason Worilids, O'Brien Schofield, Wesley Woodyard, Pat Angerer, Joe Mays, Dan Connor
CB - Vontae Davis, Dominque Rodgers-Cromartie, Corey Graham, Sam Shields, Walter Thurmond

I know it probably won't happen but I'd be taking a look at Pags position to be honest.

Tutu was fantastic on special teams and I'm amazed he didn't see more time at WR over Brown (who has been massive disappointment), I'd keep him.

Clary can go unless he comes back for small $. He can be a serviceable back up RG/RT, Troutman should become starter now at G now. I'd also like us to take a look at Mike Harris at RT and Fluker at RG.

Big overhaul in secondary required. I wonder will Mouton ever do anything, not convinced Te'o has much to offer.

Great thread and lots of great takes on the shopping lists above. I was waiting to the end of the season to comment on one area, because the play is semi-decent and because it's a lesser priority than some of the more pressing matters we have to address, but along with everything else Special Teams has got to get better. We already know what horrendous STs looks like from years past, we know now what okay STs looks like, I'd like to see what excellent STs does for our game.

They definitely need another RB. Mathews injury hurt the run game. Joique Bell would be a great pick up.

I wouldn't mind drafting another RB in the middle rounds. I like Ronnie Brown, but bringing in a young guy to be the 3rd guy makes sense to me. Cheap, and higher upside, plus we could use the cash we'd spend on a FA elsewhere.

We definitely have to improve our CB situation. I actually like our safeties, Addae was a pleasant surprise, and Weddle is Weddle.

I think Dunlap actually performed quite well, it was more the interior line that struggled at times. I think Troutman should stay as I think he has potential, but I'd be down for drafting or signing some new OGs.

What a difference it made to get Melvin Ingram back, some semblance of a pass rush made an unbelievable difference to our D down the stretch. Looking forward to upgrading this, either by bringing in some guys, or simply by getting Freeney back.

A huge area for improvement for me is the NT situation. We got ran on up the middle a lot yesterday, we've seemingly struggled for much of the season in this respect, definitely a high priority for this team, as Cam Thomas is no more than a rotation guy in my view.
