Everyone recalls the patented flip deep in the heart of Oakland. The end zone smile – LaDainian Tomlinson brings that show home this Sunday.

It's Raider Week, which gets the juices flowing like no other week in Charger Nation. And the same could be said for all-everything running back LaDainian Tomlinson.

In his brief but productive career, Tomlinson has been a thorn in the Raiders' side. And that trend will likely continue when the Raiders visit the San Diego Chargers on Sunday night.

The Chargers will be trying to extend their winning streak to a season-high five games. The last-place Raiders are limping toward the finish line, losers of three of their past four.

Tomlinson, who is coming off a three-touchdown, 184-rushing day in the Chargers' win over the Redskins, has made the Raiders his personal punching bag.

In nine career games against the Raiders, Tomlinson has scored 11 touchdowns and rushed for 1,129 yards, an average of 125.4 a game. His best day as a pro came when facing the Silver and Black, rushing for 243 yards and two touchdowns in a 21-14 win at Qualcomm Stadium in 2003.

"I guess it's the game-planning," Tomlinson said of his success over the Raiders. "We usually come up with a good scheme against them to help us be successful and the past few times it has worked for us."

But Tomlinson tries to downplay the rivalry with the Raiders. The Chargers are bent on running the table over the final five weeks, and if the Raiders are in the path, so be it.

"I don't know if this week is different, because we like to approach every game as the next game," he said. "But I think it is special for our fans. That is the reason people make such a big deal about it, calling it Raider Week, because it is special for our fans.

"But for us it's just another game on the schedule."

The one on last week's schedule saw Tomlinson enjoy one of the better games of his career. But as far as that carrying over to this Sunday, that's simply not the case Tomlinson said.

"Each week can be different. I never really get pumped up off the game I had before. This game I could have 50 yards, who knows?" he said.

    Against the Raiders? No chance.
