    ???

Seau definitely belongs on the list of Top 10 All-Time Chargers, but... #1?!?

    Pbbbbbbbbbbbffffffffft!

(That was me spraying my drink on my keyboard...)

Fouts and Alworth belong ahead of Junior, IMO, and before his career is over, LT should be ahead of Junior, too....

Move Junior to #4 and move the next 3 up a spot.
LT will take over the #1 spot, someday.

    My top five:

    Alworth
    LT
    Winslow
    Seau
    Jefferson

Fouts is at six, simply because I like these others guys more. LT will be at one when he retires.

If I was making a top five list based on career, I'd probably have it be like this:

    Alworth
    Winslow
    Fouts
    Joiner
    Mix
    Dean
    LT
    Seau

Though those last three spots can be changed around a bit. I did my top five list based on which players I enjoyed watching more.

I'm not sure I could pick a top 5 based on how much I enjoyed watching them.

I guess I have to break the list up

    Hadl
    Lowe
    Lincoln
    Alworth
    Ladd

    Fouts
    Winslow
    Joiner
    Muncie
    Jefferson
    Kelcher
    Dean

    PR
    LT
    Gates
    Shawne

I never saw Alworth play nor the O linemen that got a mention, but I did see plenty of Junior and for me LT is ahead of him on an all-time Charger list. What he has done in the Lightning Bolts is incredible. Stan Humphries was also a bit of a 'legend' for me, not sure where he might fall though in a top 'whatever'.

    If I was to give a top 10 since 1983 say, it'd go something like this;

    1. LT

    and these guys would fill the next 9 spots in no particular order;

Stan Humphries, Dan Fouts, Leslie O'Neal, Junior Seau, Jim Lachey, Gill Byrd, Tony Martin, Natrone Means, Jamal Williams and Courtney Hall.

Guys like Rivers, Merriman, Gates etc will join them in the not too distant future.

Great list, but you are not allowed to use anyone that is over the age of 30 for any top 10 list :icon_rofl:

Me, too. I knew it would be a tough game, but that play had me thinking that we were up to the challenge.

This year we get it done at Heinz Field.

I'd put Jr. in the Top 10, but NOT at #1.

Fouts, Alworth, LT - those three men were pivotal pieces of our greatest teams. If we weren't talking strictly players but just "Chargers" I'd put Coryell as #1 - he's truly the greatest Charger of all time, even if it was from the sideline.

No disrespect to Jr. he was great for us (and can still ball). He never should have been let go like he was but he's not #1 - he's not even the best LB the Bolts have ever had imo. I'd put Fred Dean and even Merriman above him simply b/c their absence made such huge negative impacts on the Charger defenses they played in.

My criteria for a Top 10 list - Ask your self this question: Did having them on the field make us good/competitive? Or did they made us great.

You post good for a gurl. :icon_tease:

Fred Dean would be near the top but for the awful trade. :icon_evil:
