So now we will do the top 6 (yes 6) WRs and TEs in Charger history, rank the best from the AFL era to today.

But we will also challenge you to name the worst TEs and WRs; who are the ones that when you hear their name your blood boils and comes out your ears

    List em Charger fans!

    Best
    1. Lance Alworth - Top 3 all-time best WR's
    2. Wes Chandler - My all time favorite Charger
    3. Antonio Gates - Best TE of his generation
    4. John Jefferson - Had over 1000 in each of his 1st 3 seasons. Could have been the greatest ever if he stayed.
    5. Kellen Winslow - Redefined the TE position. Injuries cut his career short.
    6. Charlie Joiner - No one is more reliable or ran better routes.

    Worst.
    1. Nate Lewis - Dude could not catch a cold.
    2. Mikhael Ricks - Defensive linemen could cover this guy. Plus he hung out with Ryan Leaf off the field.
    3. Bryan Still - Have no idea how this guy made the NFL.
    4. Reche Caldwell - See # 3.
    5. Kassim Osgood - Excellent ST bad WR.

I like ChargerRay's list- first one who mentioned Wes Chandler....

But I would drop Kassim Osgood from the worst and put Buster Davis on there. Maybe not for his skills but his inability to stay healthy and contribute.

Kassim was put on Special teams because he could not catch the ball.

Duckworth was fast as hell and could catch. What's he's best know for though is catching a bomb from Fouts and fumbling the ball on his way to the goal line. Buster or Boston didn't make my list because they could play the position better than the 5 worst.

Don't forget that he was a waist of roster spot for too many years.

    Buster or K.O.?
You could at least say you got real value out of KO even if he wasn't a WR because he was a dominant special teamer. And I also will say this much for Kassim, talent wise he wasn't as good as Buster (scary I know) but no one questioned his drive and dedication to his craft. Buster couldn't stay healthy, was a waste of a pick and when on field contributed some but not enough. If we switch Weddle/Davis selection (including the trade that got us weddle for all those picks), then this looks infinitely better for AJ Smith

I would put Anthony Miller on the list, being the best WR we had on run oriented teams. He returned kicks as well.

Again... only gonna select those guys I've seen play.

Best - Gates, V Jackson, W Chandler, TonyMartin and Anthony Miller. (Honorable mention to M80)

Worst (including many wasted draft picks, thanks Bobby B) - D Boston, M Ricks, B Still, Trumaine Johnson (remember the hype?), Phil McConkey (imagine jeeez), Yancey Thigpen, Omar Ellison, Trevor Gaylor, R Caldwell, Tamarick Vanover.

Best -- Alworth, Joiner, Gates, Winslow, Chandler, JJ. VJ may end up here as well at some point.

Worst -- Thigpen, Boston (tell me again why we got him?), Still (hate to say this since he was a Hokie), Caldwell (ironic he caught a pass that effectively beat us in '06 divisional), Gaylor (who?).

The ghost has to be in the top six, both Gates and VJ will have to wait as they're still active. Then it will have to be the top 8 in history.

I am with you on that one, BUT because he played a long time ago he doesn’t count. The Chargers thought highly enough of him, they put him in the Chargers Hall of Fame.
