Turner's move from 49ers to Chargers hurt both teams
ONE STRUGGLES WITH HIM, THE OTHER WITHOUT HIM
    Daniel Brown
    Mercury News

When Norv Turner's name first surfaced as a head-coaching candidate last winter, Frank Gore called and asked him to stick around.
"We need him to stay," Gore said in February. "With the young team that we have, we could keep getting better and better. Last year from the first week to the last week we kept improving every game. You could see it."

Turner ultimately left to take over the San Diego Chargers.

So far, everybody has wound up worse off.

Without him, the 49ers have struggled (213.2 yards per game, a 90.6-yard drop-off).

With him, the Chargers have struggled. (290.2 yards per game, a 74.8-yard drop-off.)

And Turner's reputation as a coordinator who can't handle the top job seems cemented for a third and perhaps final time.

Maybe he should have listened to Gore.

"It's been horrible, horrible," Josh Rosenberg, a host at sports-talk station XPRS in San Diego, said in a phone interview this week. "Fans' expectations have gone from 'Super Bowl or Bust' to 'Can we win a game?' "

Maybe we can package Norv and Eric Parker for cash.

You think the Niners are dumb enough to trade Jammer for Clements?

The real question: was the team dumb enough to hire Norv Turner? And were we as fans dumb enough to buy their bs about continuity?

Most of us didn't like the choice....but were willing to give AJ the benefit of the doubt because we felt he had earned at least that much. I was certainly (and still am) willing to see how the season plays out before I screamed bloody hell. But at 1-3 (and more importantly just how pathetic we have looked in these games) it sure does not look good.

Not if we throw in Turner, and a 3rd draft choice.

So Turner coming here caused their top RB and QB to have injuries? Interesting. That seems to be the real reason they have struggled.

I'll pay the damn FedEx fees to overnight his *** back to SF if they will take him.

I think Norv's very overrated as an OC too.
Who could go wrong the offense he had in Dallas?!!!

As long as the rocks were colored so you could use them in a fish tank or something. Then again maybe some nice river bottom rocks and you are redoing you front yard with them.

Or some nice boulders and you could launch them at the local Raider Fan Hangouts.

It's also Turners fault that Gas has gone back up in price around here.
