    :tup:CROMARTIE!! :tup: :abq2::abq1:

Fellas this guy is getting my vote for defensive player of the year! Although he will not win the DPY (due to lack of tackles) and a LB or DE will win it, he is still getting my vote! What do you all think?

if Bailey didnt win it last year, no DB will win it any times soon

Bailey was sick last year and got most his INTs when it mattered(i think 8 of his 10 were when the other team was in the redzone) and he still couldnt win it

Fat Ted has no choice but to realize that Cro and Jammer can hold coverage and send an extra guy to blast the QB.

Cro is changing this defense and he's still learning. How scary is that? :bolt:

    Dude is a player.

The only difference is the Chargers are now in a position to go to the playoffs and Cro's plays were spectacular. Sometimes it's a matter of style and Cro is stylin'. What happens if Cro continues his pace and winds up with 12 or or 13 ints? We have an intimidating corner who can not only cover but knock ***** in the dirt. Once Weddle and Oliver settle in, there won't be a better secondary anywhere. Next year, it is apparent that we can simply man up against any team. Think about it. Who else in the league will be able to stack eight in the box and still do adequate pass coverage? It is my opinion now that if we play Weddle we can do this against the rest of our opponents. We can simply match the guys we have against the individuals on the other side. I can't be sure of this because I don't read schemes like some of you guys(like my bubbly and have too much fun), but right now we have no need to play zone if Teddy is aggressive enough. Screw the cover 2 or 3. If we have a specific problem, we can go with the nickel and press with seven, considering who we have. We are peaking at just the right time. Norval and Teddy appear to be emerging from their cocoons. We have he division by the throat right now. Nut up and have fun, dudes.

We've lacked cromarties ball snagging skills for years. Now if rest of the d-backfield will learn to look for the ball we may finally have a good d-backfield.

What coach for the last couple of years has told our d-backs to just keep an eye on the reciever ought to have his head examined. Its not easy. But the good d-backs learn who the qb is looking at and where the ball might be. Staring at the receiver isn't going to do much.

Yeah id love nothing more than to see him win it, Love seeing a charger up for a DEFENSIVE award, but like i said, its so hard for a DB to win it.

I mean if 8 REDZONE ints arent enough for a CB to win it, what is?

I agree as I said earlier that he probably wont win..However also no one is crying in the news papers (Jason Taylor) about how he should be the defensive player of the year and he is going to retire so voters vote for him! The only thing that hurts AC is he didnt play much the first half season and he only has I think 25 tackles after today!

    Least deserving DPY ever

If not for his *****ing to the media about Merriman and "contemplating" retirement, he wouldnt of even come close to winning it

Really that should of been a 2 man race and since merriman "cheated", Bailey should of won it.

W/O a doubt! I mean Merriman missed 4 games last year and still had 17 sacks!

17 sacks, 4 forced fumbles, 8 pass deflections and an INT

If not for the steroid thing, it would of been his award in a landslide

I think many were after the first few games... and, if I'm not mistaken, there was a "Is Cromartie a bust?" thread going somewhere around game four.

I'm happy with a Pro Bowl appearance by him:tup: DPOTY is a far stretch for a DB, but I'm sure he will get a few votes.

Let's hope he continures this into the playoffs:tup:
