I think they played this on the radio some so it might not be as "under the radar" as I think it is, but I don't think i've mentioned the band to anybody who's responded like they know who I'm talking about.

Evans Blue - Cold (But I'm Still Here)

    Core - The Angle

Couldn't find an actual video on YouTube so I have to go with one of those Final Fantasy videos everyone likes to put together.

    Great idea for a thread.

Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies - Boogie King (Someone made this video for the song, because I don't think the band ever did)

To me, "Under the Radar" is music that only people who listen to a particular band or type of music would have heard or be able to identify. For example, I don't really listen to rap, but even I could identify The Real Slim Shady and a couple other songs by Eminem. But there are songs he's done that people who like rap definitely know that I've never heard of. So... Panama or Jump from Van Halen's 1984 wouldn't be Under the Radar, but Hot for Teacher might qualify...

I don't listen to music on the radio, so not sure if this is getting air time.

Kings of Leon - On Call

Ok, here's some "under the radar" music that kicks ***!!!

Actually Allan "Bolts4Life" hipped me to this band and we went and saw them perform at Canes when I was still in San Diego.

The band is called "The Dreaming". They are made up of ex-members of a band some of you might have heard of, "Stabbing Westward". You might have heard of that band. They were also a little "under the radar", but did acheive some success. I've always liked them. Here's a link to find out more about Stabbing Westward. Even though they aren't together anymore, they are also definitely worth checking out.

...but, this post is about "The Dreaming". Here's the only video I could find on youtube from them.
    <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/gvjT8BRHCqM"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/gvjT8BRHCqM" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

If you like it and want to hear more stuff by them, check out their myspace page at: http://myspace.com/thedreaming. "Dead To Me" is a killer song. I also like "Bullet". Plus there is a very cool version of the 80's song "Send Me An Angel".

Ok, here's another "under the radar" band that I really like. They do have a big following, but aren't mainstream yet. Their sound reminds me a little of the band, "The Jesus and Mary Chain".

    BRMC (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club)

Here's the video version of their song "Love Burns".
    <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/p_DE_SwGEps"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/p_DE_SwGEps" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

Here's another killer video by them. The song is called "Whatever Happened To My Rock n' Roll". Sorry this one is live, so the quality isn't that good.

Here's their myspace page so you can hear more songs and better quality. http://www.myspace.com/blackrebelmotorcycleclub

Not sure how under this is for most people, but they did more than an Intel commercial. Enjoy.
