Pffft.... reciever play has been the least of our problems. Come to think of it, it hasn't been a problem at all.

I'm not sure how this is the case? He gets to sit out 2/3'rds the season, collect a couple hundred thousand and then get involved in a spending spree as teams try to acquire him. How is this bad again?

    He'll be back week 12 @ Indy.

If we can avoid losing until then (highly unlikely) we may have a chance to salvage a winning record this season.

By the way, he becomes a free agent at the end of this year. The Chargers can F-tag him and pay him upwards of 10-11 million. If they do that, they look like even bigger idiots. If they DONT, then he walks and all we get is a comp pick.

Brag about that while your at it!

Actually the F-tag for a WR these days is around 8.5 mil, and its not out of the question that AJ does give him a long term deal....it might just take Philip Rivers batting his eyes and pulling some strings.

And stop saying "WE" douche. You're not a Charger fan.

SD love, I think you and I are the only ones on here that want this guy on the team no matter what has happened. Again, he is one of the most physical, fast, sure handed, receivers in the NFL. All that jump ball stuff people were talking about is a luxury to have in this league. Somebody else commented (I thin it was Enormo) that receivers haven't been the problem lately. I don't know what Charger games he's been watching but I have seen some bad drops and a lot of catch-able balls go through the guys hands so far. I also have seen a lot of balls get poked out or muscled from guys after the catch. That doesn't happen to much with VJ. These guys are young men and shiyt happens when your in your 20's. I think he has learned his lesson about driving under the influence. The team IMO should not have used that as a leverage to not show him some credit($) as to his worth.

    You think wrong, Scott.

I want Jackson back on the field as well.

Just because I think he was the one who screwed himself (as opposed to AJ screwing him) doesn't mean I don't want him to still be a Charger.

I'm a whore for the hardware. I just want the ring and I don't care who or what I've gotta do to get it. I hate VJ right now... but if he's on this team and can help get the title... I'ma luv him long time.

sit his butt on the sidelines and let him be the waterboy. I dont want him suiting up so as far as I am concerned he can git his tenure by being a cheerleader.

    kiss my chargers A**!

VJ can rot on the sideline, even though he is on the team, that does not mean he has to be on the active roster!

I love this....! AJ didn't show him ****. The only reason VJ signed this dumbass contract was because the players union advised him to do so. That way he can get enough games in this year to be an unrestricted FA at the end of the season and get out of dodge. Logan Mankins was advised to do the same thing hence the reason why they are both going to be going back to work for the rest of the season.

Otherwise VJ is sitting back and making fun of this laughable team this year fumbling away any chances at a good season.

I look at it this way: VJ now has three weeks to work on his route running and regaining his timing with Rivers before the Colts game. If he's smart he will want to put on a show for the other 31 teams who may be interested in him in 2011 if there is no work stoppage. If he gives a half-a$$ effort or tanks plays I would want the Chargers to send him across the middle on every down...and throw the ball just a little bit high and see how he likes the extra attention.

The prob is every pass Rivers throws him in practice over these three weeks takes away a rep from a receiver that we will actually be relying upon over these three weeks. And offensive stats aside, this group of WR's is having alot of difficulty getting open, a large number of Rivers' sacks and pressures have been coverage sacks. VJ & Gates on the field will change all that and Rivers won't have to keep spinning gold from straw. VJ WAS missed, just watching the games makes that clear to me. I hope they find a way to keep him and get his immature head screwed on straight. This team NEEDS all the talent it can get, we're NOT so talent rich these days that we can just keep losing the few impact guys we have left and remain competitive.

Everyone seems to think VJ will come back to the team with a full game-honed rhythm and fit right into the scheme of things. Ask Revis how that went for him...not to mention Brett Favre...pre-season and playing football sharpens skills not sitting and waiting until game 12.
