    Oben provides McNeill veteran relief

Rookie Marcus McNeill left the game late in the second quarter, returned briefly in the third and then finally gave way for good to the veteran Oben.

“It started loosening up,” McNeill said. “But Ro was already in there doing good. It was probably the best decision. It was still hurting me a little bit. I tried to fight though it. But we've got more than just one person. Ro did a great job today.”

Yesterday was Oben's first appearance in a game since he suffered a serious foot injury in last season's eighth game. He had two offseason surgeries and was not activated until before the Nov. 19 game at Denver.

“I don't think my technique was the greatest, but I got it done,” Oben said.

McNeill was still in pain after the game and continued trying to limber up his shoulder. He will be evaluated later in the week.
