Although most football fans long ago considered the San Diego Chargers dead and buried, consider this, seven of their eight losses were by three points or less in the final minute of the game.

These losses, were all by teams with combined winning records of 77-44. Admittedly so, by the odds, the Chargers should have won at least half of these. And may even have, if officiating hadn't dictated some of these games. With a win over Denver in San Diego this weekend these 8-8 long forgotten and overlooked Chargers, may have peaked at just the right time, and may be the most dangerous opponent in the AFC. Mark my words, these Chargers are going to make an impact, and a run in the playoffs.

Hmmmm I wonder who the Colts would rather play? Broncos or Chargers? Then on to the Titans and a chance to get Merriman a little payback for that little ***** Fisher and his taking out Shawne's knee last year. I have developed a real hate for Coach Fisher and his protecting his psycho-sucking QB VY. Not one team in the playoffs wants us there. We will be there for them to do some damage!

FWIW: This is anecdotal, but I have 3 good friends, who are in SD as Indiana transplants, good people othewise  but as Colts fans, they do not want to match up against San Diego... I am sure given our history playing eachother...

I am not sure who will want to play SD in the playoffs. Are the old game films valuable in scouting the team? Maybe the Tampa Bay game. But the others?

SD will be a unknown, and a team that can be one of the most explosive in the league. If Norv gets a ball control game plan in place... LOOK OUT!

We did not lose 7 of 8 games by three points or less. We lost 7 of 8 by seven points or less. Not that it really matters.

You guys are the "Most Known Unknowns" coming into this playoff run IMO.

Nobody really wants to play you because nobody knows what to expect. Pretty good position to be in for the Chargers.....

I could say the same in a sense about the Titans since you guys are going balls to the wall every game and are THE strongest team in the AFC

I don't know if the Titans are the strongest, they just have the fewest glaring holes. Our WR play is still not dynamic enough at times, but when you have the OL, TE's, and RB's the Titans have, it covers up for the lack of playmakers outside.

Defensively, the only "hole" per se is Nick Harper. He can be beaten in coverage, but he's a wily old veteran who, for every play he gives up, he'll bait a QB into throwing one directly to him.

Balls to the wall won't be the case this week. This week is all about getting our immature $58 million backup QB some reps and confidence in case we need him later on.

Let's just make sure that we get there. Then we're all 0-0.

I love our chances against the Donks, but it HAS been a strange year.

Let's do this thing on Sunday, then slap the rest around as they step up. :bolt:

Even if you did win your still 1 and done in the playoffs. Thats my only fear is making th eplayoffs and getting destroyed in round 1.......Would move us back draft picks for nothing....
