Yeah, don't know what else to say. I'm obviously not happy with the way they played today but it's still one loss and I'm not gonna pretend to know what the future holds. Just trying to stick to the facts about our current situation.

statistics sir, statistically speaking we didn't lose any ground in terms of how many games back we are.

Yeah but we lost to the worst team by far, and had the biggest injury....I don't care what anyone says we lost ground. I'm extremely worried about what no Gates means for our offense. Espescially with Floyd and Naanee battling injuries themselves.

The point of this thread was to point out the only positive thing I can come up with this Sunday, your post would not follow suit.

Without Gates and or Floyd...we have very little chance of making up any ground in the next few weeks!

I agree and understand completely. It's not out of the ordinary for others to step up in starters steads however. And today didn't we lose to a team that beat the shyt out of the same Seattle team that beat us? Why should that come as such a surprise. I don't agree with football math but it does do well countering your statement.

I didn't say we are going to make up ground in the coming weeks, simply stated the current status of our division.

Is this really the best that we can expect from this team??? To not be in last place in the worst division in the NFL.

The way they played today I'd say we should be tickled to have two wins. The way we lost the other three I'd say we should expect to be 5-1. All depends on your perspective. I'm still trying to pin point our mentality transition from 96-200 to 04-now, there's a huge difference in expectations in those periods of time. It was easier in 2000 because I knew we sucked and figured we would lose.

Perception is reality, and with this team it's very easy to form complete opposites in perception. The reality is; today we could not block, we dropped a lot of passes. We didn't cover well on special teams, we didn't get off the field on third down etc....

Or you could say we expected to beat the Rams but fell short by three, ending up with one loss and move on. That's expectations for ya.
