As tboltzcali kept saying "we need a big name reciever!!!'

Parker... Couldn't step up when we needed him!
    Jackson... A potential #2.
    Floyd... Too delicate!
    McCARDELL... He's 37.

Moss would be a good pick up.
He does do some messed up things but we don't need him to be a team leader.

    Porter would be good.
Nobody wants to be a Raider anymore.

If Moss can get a positive attitue on a winning team like SD imagine him and Jackson on each side. Damn. I doubt he ever changes though

    He might.
He'll be surrounded with talent and possibly the missing link to a potential Super Bowl bound team.
I'm sure he wouldn't mind sticking it to the Raiders a few times either!!!

Might as well give it a shot, we dont have anything else to lose. Doesnt seem to be working the way we are trying it. Might as well get the players. Alot of people might not agree with it, but I would give it a shot.

I was with you right up until you invoked the name "Moss." From that point forward I was too busy rolling my eyes to make out the rest of the post.

    Not quite.

TO is on another planet and if the Cowboys cut him, he might have to look into CFL.

    We need good YOUNG wrs!

Sidney rice in round 1 or Johnnie Lee Higgins in round 2 if we dont get rice

    So a core of

    #1 - jackson
    #2 - Rice/Higgins
    #3 - Floyd
Then draft a project WR late and sign a depth FA and we are set with those 5 going into next year

Just think we get him for a cheap price after he gets cut. We have Rivers LT Gates Jackson plenty of room for Owens to get the ball.

Plus he led the league in dropped passes so he would be good in the playoffs cuz he dropped them all in the regular season. Better than having sure hands and dropping everything in your hands in the playoffs ALA Parker

My preference would be to go get a solid possession receiver in free agency--a guy like Keenan McCardell was 5 or 6 years ago, and then draft a couple young receivers to develop. Maybe we can land someone like Curtis from the Rams. There's a younger receiver named Earnest Wilford who plays for the Jags who will be a restricted free agent that we might want to take a look at, but I'm not sure if he'll be available or not. I think the Jags can tender him. There's also a guy like Engram from the Seahawks who is a solid but not a spectacular vet. He's 34 though, so he would really be just a band-aid.

I wouldn't mind seeing us go WR in the first round this year. K-Mac is really showing his age. I still like VJ to develop into a solid #2 and maybe, eventually a #1 if he can get the small things down.

There's also the possibility of a trade for an established receiver. If we could get someone like a Donte Stallworth (LIKE that, I know he may not be an option) for a third or fourth round pick, I wouldn't be opposed to that.

Let me guess, we are going to find one of those in free agency?

When was the last time one of those hit the FA market who wasnt a complete team cancer???

If you want a #1, you have to get them through the draft, and thats what we have in jackson

Big, Fast and a deep threat with good hands

Donte's a free agent isn't he? The Eagles didn't sign him to an extension last i heard so I'm pretty sure he's a UFA

If T.O. were to become a Charger... I would cease being a fan of this team. Seriously.

Thank god I know that would never happen. But he is the one player that could break my allegiance.

    He's trash.

I said that all year long and charger fans shot that idea down. Now you guys finally open your eyes to see that we need a serious #1 to accomodate LT and Gates. We cant always get away with two #2 receivers and an ailing #3 receiver. My plan would to trade Michael Turner, unless he wants to stay, to Houston for the 8th overall pick. We take the best player. Maybe a safety. Use our 1st round pick to either, trade down for multiple picks or a WR or OL. I know I said I would never waste a 1st round pick on a WR but our pick is what 28th or 30th? Only good thing about our receivers is that they have size and decent speed. But if you dont have a true #1, they will continue to key LT and Gates.
