    Sundays forecast

Yesterday it was a high of 15 and only 10 MPH winds. Today, up to 22 degrees and 22 MPH winds. Granted, trying to predict the weather in the Northeast a week out is akin to solving the Rubics Cube blindfolded, but you have to like how things appear to be shaping up.

The windier and warmer, the better. I would love a nice 30 degree day with gusty conditions.

Our 5 day looks like mid 30s tomorrow and Thursday, then turn colder.

So, HOPEFULLY, the mid 30s will be in Chowderhead country by Sunday!!

    Great.

We can play in the Cold, we've been to Denver and KC in December.

A dry, warm, windy day is the best for us.

Dry, so our pass-rush and rushing attack aren't slowed down.

Warm so our guys aren't at as much of a disadvantage playing in weather they aren't used to.

Windy, to mess with Brady's throws.

I like the wind. The cold is a double-edged sword. We have lots of guys who are banged up, and joint injuries can be more painful in the cold. On the other hand, the Pats have plenty of arthritic AARP members that should be feeling the cold in their aging joints.

lots of wind will help limit their downfield passing attack (see Jets game in NE) but the patriots have some parts sufficient to set up a short range passing game

Its going to be 10-15 degrees with 20 mph wind below 0 wind chill.
Not bad nice and dry. Congrats on last weekends win. Should be a good game. I was at the Jets game. Altogether different story snowing, wet and very windy.

Not enough to effect anything. Both teams will be able to run any style offense they want.

We can't count on the weather.

I listened to Belichick's presser about the upcoming game. He contradicted everything mediots are saying.

He also got a question about the weather, "We are not playing the weather, we are playing the Chargers."

As much as I may dislike some of the things he does, he calls it like it is in the pressers and just blows off stupid press questions like Mangini at mid field.

20 MPH is more than enough to effect the passing game.

Welker will be there to get those first downs...you know...like in the Jags game. Watch out for Stallworth...he comes out of no where at all the right times.

Weather will be cold. Hope your guys don't start getting the shakes...once that starts, you can't stop it without going inside and warming up.

Does the Chargers organization have down filled game parkas?

I think that the team will be prepared for the cold. I hope they don't pull another Raiders circa 1989 or 1990 when they went to Buffalo without the proper attire because they were tough. 51-3... :icon_rofl:

I hope the Patriots players are as over confident as Buck... I feel their hate and embrase it!

How exactly are they going to do that? Do you have a gym sized freezer they can practice in to get use to 4 degrees?

I think if the deep threat is eliminated by the weather the chargers can start covering Welker on the short runs. I am not worried about the Patriots running game. Maroney is over rated and only has good games when he gets semi sized holes and our front seven can handle a guy like that. The more wind the better. Gillette is a very windy place in the afternoons.

Going into a playoff game where it's 15 degrees without the proper attire isn't being tough; it's being stupid.

Just because these guys play for the Chargers doesn't mean they haven't played in the cold. Most of them played in cold weather in college.

Yep, Brees threw 7 passes if I remember correctly, Gates caught a 75 yarder, and we ran the rest of the time.
