If Weddle is healthy next week, then SD needs to start Weddle and Gregory at the safety spots.

McCree is just horrible. Tentative .... bad angles ... late to help on deep ins and post patterns. Hart is the worst safety we've had in space since that brain dead Rogers Beckett was playing FS.

Did anyone else notice that McCree was playing FS in Cover-3 this game, when Hart has been there for most of the year? Now we know that neither can do the job.

Cromartie and Florence both have trouble with inside routes and post patterns. With such horrible safety play, those patterns are just a pitch and toss for any QB.

It's time to bench these two veterans who have no upside, and can't make a play on the ball. San Diego will continue to be vulnerable in the deep soft middle of the defense until McCree and Hart find their proper spots on the bench.

Mcree looks like his head is not in the game or he's just going through the motions. I agree. Let's see what else the rookies can do.

What do you think about Flo at safety? He has the attitude of a safety. His agent probably wouldn't let him make the change though.

Flo and Jammer would be upgrades at Safety...Over Hart and McCree!

Start Brandon McKinney at safety. He couldn't do any worse.

I don't advocate positional changes in mid-season unless it's an injury emergency. You're asking for trouble when that's done.

The deep soft middle of our defense is killing us.

Well we have at least one quality replacement on hand with Weddle. Which one do you bench between McCree and Hart? Is Teddy smart enough to bench either one? They are AWEFUL!

Kassim can't even play WR, because he sucks. Enough with the stupid crap.

I actually like Gregory's play. I wouldnt mind this change at all. McCree is just horrible and needs to be benched. Hart......imo he isnt as bad as MCree but im all for Weddle and Gregory at safety.

Without really looking at the matchups our defense is completely different on the road compared to at home this year.

Our SS and FS suck *** and Cottrell is fucing clueless.

Third and long, four man front, no blitz, .... soft zone ....

Then crappy safety play on every single snap.

Gregory is great in coverage. OK but not the long term solution. We need a safety who will lower his helmet and smack someone in the mouth since our front seven can't defend the run. Stephen Cooper is a joke and Wilhelm is only a "glue guy" who cannot be depended upon.

Jerry Wilson? Rogers Beckett? Kiel? McCree? Hart?

Can we please FLUSH this ****?

Watching McCree play bonehead cover-3 FS is no better than watching Hart play bonehead cover-3 FS.

They need to make a change. Now.

Almost everyone I talked to liked the Jue/Weddle combination this preseason better than the McCree/Hart disaster. Jue has been injury prone, but his coverage skills are far better than McCree or Hart.

Be careful, usually when leisure compliments someone to this level it's for self serving reasons.

I was almost committed to saying the same thing on the other board. Gregory and Weddle appear to have more instincts and better tackling skills than our current safeties.
