    Update:

Geno Smith is still Geno Smith
    Jay Cutler be throwin picks.
Chiefs cut Succup in favor of a rookie who is just as good, score is 7-3 Titans right now.
Brandin Cooks is what we thought he was.
JACKSONVILLE, looking like a tougher game than we thought in a few weeks. Or Maybe the NFL has already caught up with Chip Kelly.

Chiefs offense looks like one of the worst in the league. Bad O-line, mediocre QB, bad receivers.

From the looks of it, possible Achilles injury for Chiefs LB Derrick Johnson. Great player, would be a huge loss.

In other news, Joe Flacco still sucks. 10 for 23 at half, took a really stupid sack before halftime that cost his team points.

KC is looking like a 4 win team. We better dispose of them.

Agreed KC did not look good today.

A win in Arrowhead is never a gimme, though.

Alex Smith outrushed Jamaal Charles today 36 yards, to 19.

    Yeah, that just happened.

I know it's Week 1 but the AFC looks really weak and if we start off hot early. We could get a spot but we gotta just worry about the donks first.

Patriots look clunky and unlike a team that follows any such "Patriot way". They cannot stop the run, or some wishful thinking, maybe Moreno is better than we thought and the Donks will be unable to effectively replace him.

But how does this Patriot team give up 33 points to Ryan Tannehill and a collection of weapons that rivals the futility of the Chiefs?

The Fins have a knack for playing NE tough, similar to how we play Denver.

I never bought into that superstition, since divisional games should be hotly-contested by virtue of rivalry. The Patriots have realistic SB expectations this year with a team supposedly stocked with talent on both sides of the ball akin to their glory days a decade ago.

I am pretty sure the Patriots saw this as a potential statement game against a divisional opponent, finally with a fully-healthy, upgraded defense and an offense that has always had a number of successful moving parts (and a legendary QB always helps). Getting shut out does hurt, but they headlined the offseason with their defensive signings.

Giving up 33 points to a team with no O-line, an RB nobody else wanted, and a bottom-half starting QB with below-average receivers is quite alarming.

You mean he did something worse than giving up an INT to Cason?

It's not a superstition, some teams just matchup well with others.

But team compositions change so much, as well, in terms of roster turnover. The Fins were extremely busy over the last 2 years, completely dismantling their O-line, having a revovling door of RBs, and taking shots of WRs that they ended up overpaying for. Their D has remained steadfast, but the O is more relevant when the majority of the Patriot turnover happened on D. Chandler Jones, Revis, Browner, Wilfork and Mayo returning healthy...this was supposed to be a plus D against both the run and the pass.

If you cannot stop the Fins, who can you stop?

I don't think any team can win the Super Bowl today, I could be wrong though.

    Thoughts

Lot of parity in the NFL with some bottom feeders showing real fight even if they didn't win (Browns, Jags, Bills, Dolphins, Texans).
On the other hand, the Chiefs are running out of players and looked like a flash in a pan. The Raiders are...well....
    https://vine.co/v/Oza9JTQZnzh
Jets are a bad joke as well but show some fight at least.
Jags/Dolphins/Bills aren't going to be easy ducks I thought they'd be.

Btw if you drafted Jamaal Charles, Doug Martin or Giovanni Bernard, today sucked *** for you (is weeping for one of my teams).

To be fair, after last season, I never consider any game to be a "lock". We laid down against the Skins, Fins, and of all teams, the Ray-duhs last season. Yet we go into KC and Denver and win, go figure.
