And now a fan can watch two of the game's most entertaining QBs on one field: Kaepernick & Rodgers :D

(as a Cal Golden Bear, and living tat-free, I won't pretend to be neutral on this one ...oh, and Harbaugh's a jerk)

Mathieu is one of the best playmakers in the league...or will be. If he can keep it together off the field.

I've visited PFT since, oh, maybe 2002 when only the most crazy-obsessed NFL fans
would be visiting Mr. Florio's modest little page.

I still check in (too) often...though I struggle to get through many reader comments
(many people, for instance, see the "Redskin" name issue as a nuanced situation, weighing cultural sensitivities with tradition...
but ~95% of posters there are incredulous that every Native American doesn't necessarily dream of being called "Redskin" :) )

but the funniest thing to me about posters on PFT is that whatever just happened is what's real.
(I'm guessing many here know what I'm saying, so I won't go on and on explaining)

My point is, as the 'Niner game concluded, my brain channelled PFT posters for 30 seconds:

"The first big day of football taught us that the Packers aren't qualified to carry the Chiefs' jockstraps. Scoreboard!"

The 31 teams that didn't sign Reggie Bush should feel pretty stupid right now.

That's because David Decastro (their starting RG) cut-blocked his own teammate Maurkice Pouncey (their starting center; who tore his ACl and MCL on this play and is now out for the season). The Titans responded by sending A-gap blitzes on every successive play and DeCastro, LG Ramon Foster, and backup center Cody Wallace seemed to morally object to adjusting and picking up said blitz.

For the first time in my life, today, I actually found myself feeling bad for Ben Roethlisberger.

Edit: Here's the play, for those who may have missed it.

    :roflmao:

Browns fans already questioning why Trent Richardson didn't get his usual touches. Welcome to the Norv Turner offense. Should of been a game Richardson carried the ball a lot, his most trusted target (Josh Gordon) was suspended.

Pretty much. And yet... I'd still kill for him to be starting over Clary. Does that make me a sadist, a masochist, or both?

I'll withhold judgement until I know more about his high school performance.

That DeCastro action is pure sick. And it looks like it was intentional he was nowhere near the defender. Horrific to be cut down (literally) by your own guy. DeCastro will be feeling it this morning.

Kind of hard to really get a feeling for the games played yesterday other than they were played a notch above exhibition games. The 9er's, Packer game was the best of the day IMHO even though I don't care for the 9er's.

Yeah...the clip is priceless...and overall it was a nice evening for those of us who aren't big Eli fans...

though I did hate to see him get to pad his stats with the meaningless TD at the end...

Yeah we dodged a huge bullet not drawing them week 1. At least now we'll have some tape.

I expect they'll slow down as the blueprint gets out, and those fat 30 year old linemen start wearing out.
