Well, for starters, in the "glass half full" department:

One of the Mannings is going to lose, Sunday. :D

Nice start, Lance...I can always count on you, ya big lug!!

2nd Week 2 topic I'd toss out is Tom Brady.

A passer rating of 74.1 (24th in the league) is pretty damned hard to understand,
for those of us who've watched Brady the alchemist turn virtually any receiving corps into spun gold. (Hell, he even beat us bloody in Jan. '07 with something called a "Reche Caldwell" ?!?)

After Thursday night I really expected to see the Pats bring in a receiver or two,
anyone (!) to try to alter the path of their first two games...after averaging
almost 35 ppt last season, 18 ppt so far in 2013 is a crisis...despite the 2-0 record.
No doubt Brady hasn't been quite himself...but the chemistry with the youngsters is abysmal...

And the refs still won't call **** on the Pats. Not sure that's random...

I'm not really sure where you were going with that...
but the first thing that popped into my mind was that, yes,
you know a league is feeling invincible, when a man that gets caught doing this
    http://aldf.org/resources/laws-cases/animal-fighting-case-study-michael-vick/
is now the toast of the NFL.
I think Vick should have the right to claim he's changed, and even to play, but I still despise him.

Nice over observation for sure. I was more talkin for the long term. As in get your SB wins now before the only flags in the game arent only on the hips of the officaials, but the players as well.

Im ready for REEL NFL.... i think, then again unlike boxing, the NFL is still far from dying off in popularity and would cost alot more to field even a 22 bot roster... Engineers and massive push for Science anybody?? Til then can my damn Chargers win a still REAL SB??? Long gave up on ever wanting to dream of a repeat, o Lord jus give us one!

The Chargers defense is already tired from watching game film of the Eagles offense.

Sophomore slump for RG3...or still recovering from injury...
or just v. Green Bay, in Green Bay too much...or was 2012 a fluke?

Shanarat not having a stud RB, and a cheating OL more like it.

Evidence inconclusive re. "Are the Chiefs for real?" 2-0, but a very soft 2-0.

Norv having no luck improving horrible Browns offense...

In the "lesser of two (Manning) evils" dept., I guess I'm a reluctant Eli fan for a day...early Donks mistake helps...

Meachem activated for his first Saints game...no catches so far in first half...

So Jags leading Browns, re. league's biggest embarrassment? (at least Browns led Ravens at half, today)

Texan fans suicide watch cancelled after they win after 3 official missed FG's and 2 wiped out by penalty or timeout.

The first slate of games was amazing. The only dud was the Packers/Skins. Best week of Football in a while.

Less them, more any kind of a viable TE. NE used Gronk and Hernandez to open up the middle for their pick plays with the WR's - it was Welker's bread and butter last season. Now with no TE's, no Vereen (the alternate "Joker" receiver for them), and now no Amendola - they have no one to run their (now-appearing-overly) elaborate scheme.

Eddie Lacy and Malcolm Floyd want the league to explain this defenseless receiver crap to them after the last two hits

Also, who picks these jaundiced commentators for these games? You would have thought that the announcers were bed buddies with Vick, or at least providing him with fresh poodles for his rottweilers...

You can almost hear the call from the network: "We need someone to belittle the Chargers for three and a half hours....is Dierdorf available?" I guess Randy Cross was busy slugging rats at the dump and couldn't be reached.

Suh is Detroits main problem, the entire TB team plays "through the whistle" as they say.

Couple stupid late hits likely cost them the their 2nd game in a row.
