I thought he looked pretty good. Should start next week and get a real good look.

I'm sure everyone agrees that that was one of AJ's very few bad moves.

    I don't agree at all.

Even the Dolphins didn't think a whole lot of Lemon, or they wouldn't have traded for TWO QB's this past offseason. Only when both Culpepper and Harrington showed how much they sucked did the Dolphins finally force themselves into playing Lemon.

Lemon is a third string QB who never threw an NFL pass until a week ago. Playing against NFLE quality scrubs in a couple preseasons doesn't count. Lemon has played 3 quarters of regular season football, and only had two scoring drives (one TD and one figgie vs. the Jets - ZERO points in one quarter vs. the Bills).

Fixing the #2 and #3 QB position took a circuitous route, but having Volek and Whitehurst behind Rivers is better than having Lemon and whoever this year.

The Dolphins aren't going to go into 2007 with Lemon as the starter, or even competing to be the starter. He'll be the #3, and possibly compete for the #2.

It's amazing that posters still get all worked up about a third string QB who never has done anything.

The reason the Dolphins went after veterans is the same reason the Chargers went after a veteran - experience. I dig Lemon but he has never started a game.

I got excited watching that guy the past few pre seasons. I'm glad for him he's getting a chance to show what he can do in real games. But I wish he were still ours.:icon_sad:

As much as I would have liked to have Lemon, I'd rather have Billy Volek, who's started 10 regular season games and won 3 of them. Volek would have won a lot more had the Titans had an actual defense to help him out.

Lemon did OK, but he wasn't even able to beat out Joey effing Harrington for the #2 spot before the season began. This after having a 6 month head start on learning the Miami offense!

AJ has made more than one bad move. Fortunately he's made way more great moves than bad ones.

Thumper made more than one bad move (*** clowning MTL for a week). Fortunately he's made way more great moves (LLV main section, Adult Section) than bad ones (MTL bans).

    I disagree.

MTL is a third rate poster who never gave a regular season post worth reading. His NFLE takes have been okay, and some success in analyzing preseason games, but until he does it when it counts, it's just internet blather.
