As I warm up the HT (home theater) I noted someone else mention their big screen.
I got to wondering, what do all you guys watch the games on?

For me, when I built my house (finished it in 05) I designed a light controlled Theater room which is 16X22 ft with 9.5 foot ceil so I could mount my CRT projector.
    The image is 96" dia
I have all the tools to keep it calibrated so it looks better than what you see at a theater.
The sound of our crowd is recreated with 1,500 watts of power amp (1,200 of it on the front three channels with 3, 400 watt monoblock amps) and massive 185 lb main speakers:abq2:

Setting up my room in our new home in San Diego as we speak. Having a built in cabinet for a space of 11' x 9' where I will house my Sony 46" XBR LCD with two 27" LCD sidekicks to either side for NFL ticket viewing. All TV's are 1080p, with HD receivers, 7.1 surround with a mega amp, and kliptch speaker system. I went ahead and ordered whole house audio, so I can listen to music (lots on Ipod) and the games even if I'm in the *******. Harmony 1000 touch screen remote to run the whole show.

If anyone wants a built in, let me know. I went with a company out of Perris, Ca called woodwork creations. Sister company does home theater install as well. I flew down to meet the guy so he could look at the space. He whipped out a laptop and ran a program where he created the final look to the cabinets, lighting, pocket doors, etc in about 20 minutes. I was floored. Very reputable.

I just bought my first piece of Samsung gear a couple months ago, their Blue Ray player. Very impressive, and I'll probably stay with their gear for source material...a couple years back they hired Joe Kane to come in and consult, they've been putting out good, accurate products ever since...I find their stuff to be great "bang for the buck".

Excellent choice. From what I understand, it blows away the first two XBR versions. For the size of my room, I can go up to a 52", but I bought my XBR earlier this year, so I'll have to wait.

Watching the Bolts on CBS with them broadcasting in 1080i is unreal. Add digital sound and you'll never want to leave the house.

I am looking at getting this:

    Panasonic TH-42PZ700U 42" Plasma TV

Top rated plasma in the 40-46 range that I have found.

Still watching on a Tube now.

Definitely a good panel. Panasonic plasma is the best in my opinion, although Pioneer is close. I have the TH-50PX60U 50" 720p consumer model. I love it.

The Panny's are nice, and good bang for the buck.
However the best is now the new Pioneer plasmas. they have a new excitation technology that drops black level down to something close to crt levels...and that's big step forward.
Problem with the pioneer is it's price...NO bang for the buck!

I'm usually on a mixture of high-octane Bloody Mary's, Beer, Tequila, and whatever goodies happen to be nearing expiration in the medicine cabinet.

    Jealous? :icon_tease::icon_shrug:
